The Warrior Rollercoaster

The Warrior Rollercoaster

I have never seen a more dominant team lose so consistently than the current pack of worriers.
If both teams play to their potential tonight the Worriers should win.
I'm liking our backs at the moment first time in a long time that our centres are actually solid defensivly and capable of scoring tries. Fish has some spark, Manu even made a break with speed last week.

The only things standing in our way are our incredible ability in finding a way to lose games that we have already won and cold Saturday nights in Penrith.

I don't know the stats but I don't have that many winning Worrier memories of cold Sydney Saturday nights.

I have been racking my brain to think about how we lost last weeks game, was it the forwards, the halves, the centres. Maybe it was fitness or a lack of impetus from the bench, or even the coach. Probably for mine, a Captain who can put a rocket up them would be good (Ive never seen Mannering shout at the boy's)a nd some impetus from the bench would do the trick. Godinet was lame coming from the bench, I usually like his play but last week there was zero value add.

Even when we lose we play so well for long periods of time that it is hard not to love the Worriers. I just wish games only lasted 60 minutes.

I wonder if MAtt Elliot has found a good sports psychologist , I always thought it was a stupid idea but the current trend if its not fitness has to be a acute form of "we dont know how to win anymore"

Warriors miss understand Mannerings 'C' sign

- Sources not close to the club can now reveal that the 'C' sign ( first employed during last weekends loss to Sydney Club the Canterbury Bulldogs ) was an attempt to focus his team mates during the critical final ten minute period of the game.

Rumors surrounding the true meaning of the 'C' sign ( despite strong denials this week ) have not gone away.

Body language experts have speculation that the 'C' is for capitulation ( later shortened to the more user friendly 'Chokers' call ).

Results from our ' Simon Says ' True Warrior readers poll this week :

C is for Capitulate 13 votes

C is for Soft *profanity* 65 votes

C is for Kava 9 votes

I think this will be quite a close game, and abit of an arm wrestle. It could go either way, would like to say warriors but gut feel tells me penrith by 6 points.

I.m picking us to dominate for most of the match. Whether we can turn that into points will be the factor that decides this game. I have gone for 7-20 so may quite possibly be 'fucken mad'. ^^^^^ Time will tell i guess. I don't think this will be a pretty win but I'll take any sort of win at the moment.*

*prediction made on the assumption Elliott isn't going to spring a late selection surprise like playing Ropati. If that ends up happening then I will be more than fucken mad...

first try scorer: Manu
MOM: Mannering with 140m, 38 tackles, 7 offloads, 3 line break assists, 1 try assist, 1 line break.
final score 22-16

Is it me or is he giving the blowjob signal?[DOUBLEPOST=1368839289][/DOUBLEPOST]Anyway, I went for warriors by quite a few as I will be quite drunk by the time the game starts so I wont care.

Could we win?......Sure!
Should we win?....Hell Yeah!
Will we win?........Who the fuck knows anymore!
Betting with my heart has cost me more than just coin lately
Betting with my head is upsetting my heart.
Penrith home ground/crowd and the carry-over buzz from downing the Premiers should help them stick with the Warriors until choke-oclock.
So my heart says "they won't let us down and surrender AGAIN"
My head says "get the fuck outta here heart!"

I am very nervous about tonights game. With the Bronco's winning last night the top 8 has gone from being 4 to 6 points away.To maintain our place this game is now a must win.And because it is the lowly Panthers it should be a win anyway.
Two things I have noticed in the last two or three weeks are:
(1) the top teams particularly The Bunnies,Manly and the Roosters and for the second half against us last week,The Dogs, these teams forward packs are really hoeing in and by using controlled and absolutely fierce aggression are dominating the teams they are against.I want to see this staring tonight from our forward back.I think they they are using too much one out running and are not hunting (as Gorden Tallis says) a pack.I think if our forwards can lift their intensity, maintain some good hard traditional mongrel the whole team will get confidence and the whole thing will lead to the intensity and hopefully concentration being maintained for the full 80 minutes.
Looking to Mutts,Rusty,Lillyman and Stevie Raps to really get us on the front foot tonight.
(2) The Tigers are absolutely woeful.....yeah sure they have had injuries (so have we) but some of their tackling in the middle of the ruck was downright embarrassing. That game also confirmed that Adam Blair was a waste of money (at $600k/season) and that overrated Aaron Woods is just that ....overrated.(if he gets selected for NSW that will show why they will lose eight in a row).Despite all their new young guys on the field Woods and Blair were their worst.Benji tried his best in a hopeless cause and if Potter honestly thinks dropping him will solve their problems he is an idiot.
Two good things come out of this game(1) Benji might be ripe for the plucking (he showed how professional he was this week)and I think he would be a good fit to guide our younger guys and (2) we don't need to worry about the spoon that's going to the gummy Tigers!!

Well, if we want to get some kind of trophy this year, this is the game it has to start. None of this "lead at 60 minutes and go on to lose by 6" crap. The Tigers showed how it's done - they lost with style and panache - 10-58 to the Rabbitohs. That's what (thumps table) must (thumps table again for emphasis) be done!

Or that wooden spoon is gone.

This game is the same as the Titans for me. It's simply a must win, no two ways about it.

Regardless of the fact that they beat the storm last week, we should have way to much for this team, as we have had for many teams this season, if only for 60 minutes.

IF we put in a vs Storm or Rabbitohs performance, we should only need 60 minutes to put the game out of reach for the Panthers.

In context, IF is a ridiculously big word!
