No it didn't, although the ground that they play the Rugby at now is the ground formerly known as 'Rugby League Park' so it would be cool to get an NRL game there. It is in far better condition now than when I played there 3 years ago. One of the two stands was closed because it wasn't safe, and the number one ground shared an in-goal area with the number two ground (grounds were end on to eachother) which created a bit of drama on the odd occasion.

Haha yeah the showgrounds were a dive- couldn't beat it for atmosphere tho back in the 80s when it used to pack out- halswell, hornby finals were epic
