General NZ Warriors NSW Cup Team: Aiming for Sixth Consecutive Win at Home

The One New Zealand Warriors are going strong with their impressive streak in the New South Wales Cup. Coming off their fifth consecutive victory last week, they are now gearing up to extend their winning run this Sunday, while also striving to maintain their undefeated record at Go Media Stadium this season.

The NZ Warriors' 💙 Mighty NSW Cup team, much like their NRL counterpart, is back at home after five weeks on the road. They are getting ready to take on the sixth-placed Canterbury-Bankstown, with the match set to kick off at 3.20pm.

Impressive Track Record

Their previous match at Go Media Stadium saw the Warriors triumph over St George Illawarra with a resounding 40-12 victory. Further wins against Newcastle, North Sydney, Canberra, and the Sydney Roosters have cemented their place at the top of the ladder with a total of 20 points.

The Warriors not only boast a 9-1 record, but they have also scored the most points at 345 and have conceded the fewest at 184. This gives them a points differential of plus 161.

In the three games played at Go Media Stadium so far, they have successfully defeated the Sea Eagles (31-20), the Roosters (46-12), and the Dragons (40-12).

Team Changes and Notable Players

This week sees some changes in the team lineup. Taine Tuaupiki is slated to play fullback for his first 💙 Mighty NSW Cup match of the year. He had previously played on the wing in the NRL team's first nine games.

Geronimo Doyle has been moved to the interchange, and the team also welcomes the return of winger Edward Kosi and centre Ali Leiataua, both of whom are making a comeback from injury.

About the Opponents

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are currently sixth on the ladder with 12 points, having won five games and lost five. Their selected lineup includes a couple of familiar faces – prop Zyon Maiu’u, who transferred to the Bulldogs earlier this season, and former hooker Taniela Otukolo, who is named as loose forward for the upcoming match.

The Warriors' winning streak, their high-scoring games, and the upcoming lineup changes contribute to the anticipation for this weekend's match. The team, the fans, and the entire NZ Warriors community are looking forward to what promises to be an exciting game.
