Thought I'd create a thread for any rumoured or confirmed player movement/signings from and to all other NRL clubs in 2013. Mainly for the sort of stuff that you don't feel deserves it's own thread.

To kick it off I'll steal PB's thunder and re-post the now widely known Jennings --> Roosters rumour that's set to be confirmed in the coming days.

Beat me to it TD! The Roosters will have a great backline for next year if they do get Jennings. Amazes me that the Roosters would have the cap space to squeeze him in? Im pretty sure Ian Schubert and his hounds will be going over their player roster and salary with a fine tooth comb. Wonder if Jennings mate ME has talked to him recently?
 
Uhmm yeah, I too wonder how they have the space? Oh well, I'm sure there'll be speculation aplenty. Having said that there's only about 3 clubs in which salary caps aren't questioned when they make a new signing on top of their current squad.

They sacked Leilua and the cap looks likely to be $5.8m not $5 mill, The Warriors should have a pretty decent War chest for 2013 mid season transfers.

Even with Jennings they will not make the 8 next year. There halves in Maloney and Kaka Pearce suck,and the SBW media circus will be too much for them

Back to 2013 movement....I thought Manly was gona cut Kite and Rose to ease there cap

Update on the Jennings/Roosters deal. Not as clear cut as one would think. Jennings is rumoured to have been offered $500,000 a year for 4 years. As we all suspected they dont have space under the cap and are planning to sign him under the new cap total. Anyway, read for yourself...

Wow! Panthers are yet to release him. He's contracted to the Panthers till the end of 2015. I cant see Phil Gould rolling over and paying a big portion of his contract next season. He might have to if he wants some cap space. Im not going to believe anything until a club makes an official statement confirming Jennings. The link below has Jennings going to the Warriors, Dragons, Eels and Tigers all within the last 2 months. Even the Sharks were rumoured to have wanted him early last year.

He's rumoured to have been offered $600,000 a year from the Titans. After letting go of Prince and now Beau Champion they have more then enough for him. The Titans financial problems stemmed mainly from investing in property on the GC before the recession, namely the Robina Centre Of Excellence. At one stage it was thought that the Titans were in debt to the tune of $30-35 million! They ended up seling the centre to Skilled Park and with the help of David Gallop and the NRL they are now back in the black.
 
Eels have entered talks with North Queensland prop Matt Scott. Interesting article highlighting the impossible situation the Cowboys are going to face having so many top end players coming off contract at the end of this season. Matt Scott has an estimated value of $600,000 which is what the Cowboys signed Tamou up for. $1.2 of their cap on props as well as whatever they re-signed Taumalolo for? Then add Thurston in who needs to re-sign and will be close to the million dollar mark? This should get interesting.

Eels also trying to re-sign Hayne who is off contract at the end of this season too...

I was actually thinking about Hayne and the eels the other day. He is still a very decent player and i wonder why he stays with that rubbish side. They will struggle again this year and Hayne needs to find himself in a better team with better players around him, and as im a huge warrios fan he just needs to get on a plane and come accross the ditch lol

Hayne is a case of a player that's in Thurston's situation from a few years ago. I remember saying something along the lines of "it's hard to shine like gold when you're surrounded by turds" basically, what I mean by the is the lack of talent in the Eels team is sharply effecting Hayne's form. I think if he were to take Slater/Bowen/Stewart's places in one of the better teams, he'd easily be the Aussie fullback at the moment. Hell, I think he'd push for rep honors even here or at the Tigers.
