Only seems like last year he was carving up like the next Meninga, wtf happened to him?
Not sure, but he strikes me as entitled and perhaps started believing his own press. Pretty talented in a talent laden team but hard work (training) still needs to be done. And importantly it looks like his manager got it badly wrong.

Didn't he dislike being compared to GI? Now he wants to play FB (like GI). How ironic would it be if he went to Souths.

Might want to be an FB because he is an Inglis type of player.
Inglis never faded out of games though.
GI was never as great at FB as all the hype made him out to be either. Better than average maybe, but the hype had him at RTS levels and honestly I thought the team played without him when he was injured almost as well. Certainly not a million dollar player.

He wants to play FB and be paid elite FB money despite not having proved himself there.
He was getting offered the same coin as a good fullback anyway, shoulda taken it and worked his way into the position if thats really what he wanted

I heard on the radio yesterday that Bronco's need to release players to fit Croft under the cap, with the players that have retired or released they topped up other contracts now need more room for Croft.

' The Broncos will need to release a player from their 30-man squad to accommodate Croft's arrival and NRL.com has been told Gehamat Shibasaki could switch to Newcastle although neither club has made an official statement on that possibility.'

But apparently shibasaki isn't keen on going to Newcastle.

Jeez it’s depressing seeing players moving between clubs and SL and seeing that the Warriors have only signed a reserve grade hooker.
These players failed this year, they have the same coach, so what’s going to change?

If it isn't done in the next 24 hours hopefully we are one of the clubs lining up for meetings. A gamble if we are willing to throw that much money at a 1 season player. He did show a lot of promise this year though. I like his speed around the ruck, something we need.

Has there been any indication the club is still after him?

The fact that they signed Brock Lamb last week may mean that they aren’t completely confident in resigning Brown. I thought for a guy still in his teens he did pretty well last season and would love us to get him.

We not going to recruit anybody that aint an old dog on the way out. We going to be relying on our youngsters to hopefully come good. Katoa, Ale, Turner. How far away are these kids and more to the point how can we not stuff them up

Gus summed up GI well

"He's not going to get you to a Grand Final, but if you get there, he will win it for you"

So souths have signed Jai Arrow on $800K . why the fuck did we not throw $1.1m at this kid? I feel like the club are more interested in saving money than winning anything.
