Tolman has extended his contract with the Bulldogs until end of 2020.

We kept getting linked with him every so often but I guess they've sorted out their cap issues

True that Tolman and Alex Glen are trendy Warrior speculative names almost on the level that Matai once was.

Realistically we can't sign anyone that good now, unless we somehow could dump a Matulolino, Manu, Lillyman, Mannering or Hoffman.

Has to be one or t'other .

Bulldogs forward Sam Kasiano’s incredible pre-season transformation

SAM Kasiano has undergone a massive transformation from heavyweight prop to slimline forward who could finally play long minutes in the NRL this season.

The Bulldogs big man has put in an extraordinary effort in the pre-season to shed the kilos, as you can see by the svelte figure he cuts in his wedding photos.

CLOSE CALL: NRL stars feared for their lives

The 26-year-old New Zealand and Samoan international has been criticised for not being able to play lengthy minutes due to his bulky frame which has been officially listed as high as 130kg but unofficially suspected to have been even higher.

His Bulldogs teammates have been astounded by the rapid weight loss he has achieved by putting in the hard yards on the training paddock and watching what he eats.

Not easy for a player who famously said he could eat seven kebabs in one sitting.

“We are going to have to get him on the Big Macs,’’ joked one teammate.

“He looks more like a fullback at the moment. He better put it on quick or Des (Bulldogs coach Hasler) might play him at five-eighth.’’

Perhaps a switch to the halves is what the ball-playing forward is hoping for after all.
