Agree with most of those picks except us and the bunnies, reckon they may actually be stronger with Latrell and Sullivan in the halvesInruin's Round 6 Tipping Match Up Snapshots
Dolphins v Panthers
Good win for the Dolphins last week to get off the mark against a disappointing Titans side. Penrith were very poor against the improving Cowboys, but with Edwards and a few others back I’m expecting a much better performance from them. Could even be a blow out.
Panthers 1-12
Dragons v Titans
Both teams coming off disappointing losses last round. Dragons had a golden point loss to the bottom of the table Eels, but at Win stadium are always a hard opposition. Titans with no Tino and have been scratchy all season. I cant see them getting up for this game.
Dragons 1-12
Broncos v Roosters
Broncos burst the Tigers bubble a little last week with an ultimately convincing scoreline but have a few minor injury concerns this week. Roosters have made some significant changes but will it be enough to get them the lollies at Suncorp?
Broncos 13+
Sharks v Sea Eagles
Sharks couldn’t get it done against the Raiders last week and need Trindall to take the lead role in attack if they are to be a chance this game and this season. Manly got blown away by the Storm but actually looked better than the score suggested I thought. First of the two Perth games this week and the birds get it I think.
Sea Eagles 1-12
Rabbitohs v Cowboys
Rabbitohs were gutsy last week losing a number of players and still getting the win against the Roosters thanks to a magical Latrell long ball for the match winner. Cowboys looked much better away to the Panthers and I think they will be too good for a weakened Bunnies side for Perth’s game number two of the round.
Cowboys 1-12
Eels v Raiders
Eels broke their duck with a golden point drop goal to Lomax. The Raiders continue to be a tough assignment for most teams and took care of the Sharks. Walker looks to have given the Eels a little more structure and direction but I’m expecting the Raiders to be too strong. Rumours Zac Lomax could be out as well for the Eels
Raiders 13+
Storm v Warriors
Storm continue on after a blip against the Dragons two weeks ago and have all their spine players back on board. Warriors coming off the bye and sitting in the top 4, but a few changes in the lineup this round. Will their grinding, try and force the opposition to crack, kick to the corner gameplan break the Storm? I’m thinking no, but might be enough to keep it close.
Storm 1-12
Knights v Tigers
Knights attack looks very poor this season and failed to get on the board against the Dogs last game. Somehow they are the favourites this week against a Tigers side that have looked much better this season than the previous spoon winning ones. Luai back and Knights have a number of outs.
Tigers 13+
Where do we end up if only Cowboys and Dragons win from that list?Just playing around with the nrl calculator, we could conceivably still remain 4th even if we lose to the storm. We would need to make sure that the loss is small (1-12) and:
1. Eels beat Raiders (Unlikely but possible- Raiders suck away from home)
2. Sharks beat Sea Eagles (Quite Possible- 50/50 game)
3. Cowboys beat Rabbits (Quite Possible- 50/50 game)
4. Dragons beat Titans (Quite Possible- 50/50 game).
We could drop down to 5th or 6th. Manly would overtake us since they have much better p/d than us, whereas Raiders might also overtake if their win is larger than our loss. Bottom line, we still stay inside the 8. So dropping this game against Melbourne isn't going to be too detrimental to our current position.Where do we end up if only Cowboys and Dragons win from that list?
