Inruin's Unscientific Match Up Snapshots

Knights v Dolphins
A scrappy win for the Knights away against an equally scrappy Tigers side while the Dolphins were a little unlucky to lose after suffering a late change of venue and players pulling out of the side.
Dolphins 1-12

Warriors v Sea Eagles
Warriors were incredibly disappointing in Vegas after all the hype and have named the same team looking for redemption. Manly on the other hand were hugely impressive in their first hit out of the season. A high-quality band for this Jazz session in Penrose.
Sea Eagles 13+

Panthers v Roosters
Everyone keeps asking if this is the year the Panthers slip but they showed against the title contender Sharks that they are up for another crack at the crown. Roosters struggled at home against a very good Broncos side wanting to make a statement. Roosters down on troops and a mid-table team at best.
Panthers 13+

Dragons v Rabbitohs
Dragons looked to have a bit of round 1 jitters against the Dogs last week. Rabbitohs got the Master a win over the Apprentice’s disrupted Dolphins. Dragon’s at home.
Dragons 1-12

Cowboys v Sharks
Cowboys at home but were very disappointing last round and continued on from their inconsistent season last year. Sharks were good against the reigning 4 time champs and should be too good if they are serious about challenging for the title.
Sharks 1-12

Raiders v Broncos
Raiders were far too good last week against a very poor Warriors side. Broncos were highly impressive once they clicked into gear. Raiders missing Tapine and Broncos with confidence.
Broncos 13+

Eels v Tigers
Storm smashed the Eels off the park and Dylan Brown has announced he is leaving. Tigers get Bula and Koroisau back, if they can hold on to the ball, they should get the lollies
Tigers 1-12

Bulldogs v Titans
Dogs did what they needed to last weekend and continue to build year on year. Titans are the unknown having the bye in the first round. Potential match of the round and perhaps, if the Titans get it together defensively, the upset of the round too?
Titans 1-12

Reckon Tigers are a top 8 chance this year?

Daniel Saifiti and twin brother Jacob have made a pact – to run directly at each other with the first kick-off return on Thursday night.
The pair will go head-to-head for the first time when the Knights host the Dolphins. Daniel said he can’t recall them ever playing against each other aside from the usual heated backyard tussles.

But as soon as the draw was released the brothers have been speaking about the round two clash.

“We’ve made a pact that we have to run at each other from the first kick-off,” Daniel said. “As soon as I signed we gave each other a couple of scenarios. But we made that pact over a couple of beers.

“As soon as the draw came out we sent it to each other straight away. Literally from kindergarten we have always been on the same team.

“We’d compete every day against each other. Whether it was on the PlayStation or in the backyard. We had to get broken up a couple of times as kids.

“We’d always try to win against each other. You want to get one over your twin brother.

“The family have already sorted a half Newcastle and half Dolphins jersey to wear.”

Dolphins coach Kristian Woolf said he was excited to see the Saifiti brothers go toe-to-toe.

“They are very close,” he said.
