General NRL Judiciary

NRL league officials are having a re-think after Ruben Wiki's not guilty finding this week.

Match review co-ordinator Greg McCallum says his committee will think twice before issuing another kneeing charge following Wiki's successful trip to the judiciary on Wednesday night.

McCallum says the difficulty in proving the charge could alter his panel's thinking if a similar incident occurred sometime in the future.

He says they will be debating long and hard before they charge a player with dropping knees if another charge of striking might be more appropriate.

McCallum refutes claims Wiki got off on a technicality.

Well now every player will use the same excuse as Wiki and get off lightly if they receive the same charge, so I suppose it's something to look at.
