This time of year teams that lost in round 1 often turn it around in round 2. Man but this Bulldogs vs Storm is a hell of a turn around for the Bulldogs.

Perham has had some good breaks at fullback.

Ponga gone early Grade A head knock.

Not my most favourite player but u got to feel a bit for the dude with these head knocks. He must know the writings on the wall as every concussion brings him that much closer to maybe medically retiring.

Would be tragic to have to give up a career because of that.

After all of the up roar last week about taking the independent doctor and taking a star like Ponga out of the game it is a bit of karma that he ends up ruled out the following week.

The Knights might need to debate keeping him out for a period of time like some of the union sides or the Roosters have done in the past.

He got the majority of his head knocks playing at fullback but if he gets another one soon playing in the front line they may need to review the positional change.

Watching knights v tigers shows me how crucial smart recruiting is needed

Tigers new recruits prove to me that a decent player from a strong club doesn’t mean too much if arriving to a crap environment

For us this means 2 positive things

1 we have been recruiting smartly with players with the right skillet and mindset for their specific role

2 our club is showing signs of growth in a number of areas which creates a more inviting proposition for future recruitment and internal and junior development which we have been lacking for years

Bonus point: Staines is absolute mud

They are boring and they have no heart! Koroisau is levels ahead of everyone on that team! I would rather have Johnson than Brooks. Brooks has to be the worst halfback in the comp! Hell I’d have O’Sullivan over Brooks! He is mud!
