Just watched the Bunty chase down.

Yes, great effort but what I liked most was the vision. As the break away started, he could see Roger Tuivasa-Sheck had the winger covered and the ball was going to go to CNK who was following in support. He targeted CNK from about 30m behind before he even had the ball and was hunting him down in anticipation. You see him actually looking at CNK as his target well before he’s in place for the pass. He changed speed, timing his run to get himself on CNK as he got the ball.

Footy brains AND effort.
Bunty has been so immense this season and really has responded well to what I consider quite a big slight by the club. Off a knee injury too...

Bunty has been awesome this year and that chase was fantastic. Had no business being in the game there but took a great angle to make the tackle.

Had to do it. It's not like our outside backs from the other side of the field ever come across to cover.

I know we should always want good refereeing decisions, but I am actually stoked we have finally won a game through a bad decision for once. Such a good feeling.

The pass was so forward that Ben Murdoch-Masila almost fell over reaching out for it

The fact that Ricky Stuart is spewing about it makes it all the funnier
Would have loved to see his reaction if someone responded saying that Suttons try was a forward pass from hodgson also.

isnt it funny how the tech has been available for years now to put all this forward, not forward crap behind us, but the NRL have refused to use it in reffing the game. However they use it to put advertising on the TV by inserting adds on to the pitch. Its almost like they like the controversy

People going off about Annersley and his after the fact fwd pass. What about when Pompey was kicking off and the Crowd did the Viking Clap and blew it over the touch line, there needs to be an investigation.
No, mate, the NRL won't do anything, sorry. They never do an investigation until there's got to be an investigation. It's the Toovey Rule.

Did you see Fusitua trot back when the Raiders got down the left edge and scored the try off the kick from Rapana?

No urgency shown what so ever.

That's my logic.

If Tevaga can't prove himself as a good enough 9 (I don't anybody on here has ever rated him above "Play Him at Hooker If Lawton and Egan/Whoever Go Down During A Game But Gawd It's Not Ideal" level) that fits in with the club's plan then certainly the club already have a very capable 13 in Harris and maybe already have a backup 13 lined up whether or not Tevaga doesn't make the grade at 9 and a 9's what they go looking for. Whether the club give him that opportunity/time or Redcliffe do, who knows?
Jazz was never a hooker. Ever. He simply filled a role that the club didn't see the need to plug with another specialist. He was to give Bully a brief spell then move into the middle.

Being a favourite of Kearneys he just had to find space for him much in the same way Matt Elliott had to find room for Tuimoala Lolohea depite him never once playing winger in his life...

Would you trust the Bunker with forward pass technology?
I wouldn't trust them to pour me a cup of coffee.

Every other time the forward pass technology comes up it gets shut down due to being too hard or leaving some decisions on the field. I know this is more to use the Bunker for howlers but can still see there being issues with them defining the extent of the pass they should be looking at.

The Warriors lost against the Sharks and the Eels in recent years with passes that were forward as part of plays late in the match that decided the game. Besides the NZ media we barely heard about those besides a quick comment "yeah it looked forward" or "they got luck there". We score off one that helped the come back but wasn't the winning play. But it happens to be against Ricky Stuart. Our coach gets asks to admit they got away with one on NRL 360 then we hear talk of technology or the Bunker for forward passes.

I wouldn't be surprised if we have changes due to Stuart. Remember years back the Warriors took their time going for goal kicks, he kicked up a fuss and we got a time limit on goal kicks.

Yup and I saw Pompey ambling back on the far side of the field with Maumalo not in the picture.

Compare that to the Bunnies v Roosters game where a similar break happened and Alex Johnstone came from the far side to cover the infield kick.

But yeah, our backs are fine...lol

I don't think it's a slight. We are well stocked across forwards and backrowers, and he came off a season ending injury.

I'm stoked the club was catious, and I am even more stoked he's putting his hand up and excelling. Definitely looks like our next Mannering.

One thing about Sean O'Sullivan, think he has a footy brain which for a half is the number 1 condition and something we need.

Also, on re watching the game, he seemed to be backing up the ball carrier a hell of lot even if he did lose his daks.

Couldn't tell if they were on back to front. Maybe Peta would know?

100%

Players like Sean O'Sullivan unfortunately get absolutely slaughtered in poorer teams because they don't possess the individual skill to make things happen.

Playing behind a pack like ours, his role becomes very simple and probably suits him - just get the right people in the right spots and back up the ball carrier.

Tim Sheens used to sit on the sidelines with his team and his F1 looking seats....

I assume coaches don’t want to sit on the sidelines because they can’t look at replays, discuss strategies or doing anything in private. Coaches Box you get all that plus the height advantage of seeing the bigger picture .. there’s probably snacks in that room too... you can curse and call the ref a cu** no problem...

Mark Graham used to smoke in there!

Cut to the coaches box and see a durry in one hand and a walkie talkie in the other haha
