General NRL 2020 Round 20 - General Discussion

Crazy the Broncos won their first two games and picked up the spoon. If the competition continued for another few rounds before the shutdown they may have grabbed a few more. Have to wonder what they did during the shutdown or what else was going on at the club for such a turn around after the resumption.

The new review system they are trialling helped stoppages after scoring as there were a few more instances than normal where the ref awarded a try. Its a quick turn around for the Bunker to review as they only have up to the conversion. They also had the normal go to the Bunker. Can see if it was implemented coaches, captains, fans of one side complaining their tries got a full review while the other sides got awarded and the shorter reivew time.

Is he a kiwi cool?
Not that I’m aware of unfortunately. Keep an eye out for him against the Storm though. Actually quite a few promising youngsters getting a run this round with not much at stake for all teams except the spoon bowl.

so been thinking about the new rules for our game when it comes up. The best thing is the ref must be giving the attacking team the benefit of the doubt in making his calls. The worst thing is that the video ref now is always looking for a reason to overturn the decision.
In an average game they do this to nearly every warriors try, now they get to do it for every try

Keep an eye out for Max Feagi made his debut last round agains the Knights, and his twin brother Matt Feagi. They are the reason the Dragons decided to not re-sign Euan Aitken. Both play Centre/Winger and are only 19. Also they hail from Hastings so are eligible for the Kiwis.

Another young player to keep an eye on is Kaeo Weekes, he is a Mozzie, is only 17-18ish and has played for NSW at u16 & 18 levels. Signed to Manly would expect him to make his NRL debut within the next couple of years. He will probably alongside Schuster (if they don't move Schuster to lock) be the manly halves pairing once DCE moves on.

Yeah all top end talent there, all these players were in the SG ball final last year Sea Eagles (Schuster, Weekes) v Dragons (Sullivan, Feagai twins)

Junior Amone in that Dragons side is another future star imo, do you know if he has any kiwi eligibility?

look out!, Titans will be in the 8 next year

Would be nice to see them up there tbh, but it's a long off season (even if technically it's a slightly shorter off season this year). Got the cattle coming in to reinforce them, but it will be interesting to see how they play when everyone is starting from scratch again.

The way the Titans ended this year reminded me a little of us in 1999. 2000 was not a good year for us.
