What a flappn good game, I hate seeing Newc win, namely due to many Newc mates. Could easily have gone to Manly with 2 calls being 50/50. Thats modern footy. They were gutted and out on their backs in the Hunter heat.
Just on that Peta Hiku call, the same thin happened in the Raiders game, where the Raider player caused a foul by grabbing an arm, which cannot be reviewed, the ball went along the ground, ref blows the whistle for a opp Review. It goes up and they totally flaffed it up not knowing what to do, in the end they gave it to the Raiders as they were about to take possesion and run the ball out despite having just grabbed a playing arm which should have been penalised but can only be on field not when sent up for review. Well its the same as Hiku, there was nobody in front of him so possession should have gone to the warriors.
Too many crazy calls based off this challenge system, I mean it had to be worked out by trial and error, but I just hope they take those 2 examples and fix them, 1 by 1. Because it sucks losing with calls like that in the game.
