Tyrone May and Jarome Luai have been called up in the halves in place of Blues halves Nathan Cleary and James Maloney. Waqa Blake returns from injury at centre for Blues utility Tyrone Peachey. Corey Harawira-Naera returns on the bench for Kaide Ellis. Viliame Kikau has been named in the back row despite a bruised kneecap last week.

Panthers forward pack concerns me, especially with Bunty and Harris out. There's some real big boys in there, and guys like JFH have a lot of mongrel in them.

Hopefully even if they make some yards up the middle, their fresh halves combo can't put the icing on the cake. From reading a few Panthers forums, they don't seem sold on their playmaking abilities.

Even with their Origin players out that is still a pretty good Panthers side.

I don't know much about their halves but this competition you think you have a weak opposition and they bring in some youngster who ends up being a future superstar.

From our side of things. Afoa and Harris are big blows we need to cover for the next few weeks. Good to have the two wingers back. Sao was pretty good at the start of the year.
