how about Fusitua diving on that loose ball?

If Tui was still out on that wing he wouldnt have even tried

You are right. Watched the nsw cup on fox and tui,s tackling is just so soft and ineffective.

A good performance following on from last week. Similar to last week we won against a team going through a bit of a tough period. The Titans were hit by injuries the Eels are on a losing run after looking good earlier in the season. These are the games teams should win to inflict more misery on their opposition, in the past we would be the club that slips up and lets them break their drought. So two points in the bag and an improved performance which will help with the confidence levels but I'm still weary how we go when the blow torch is applied when we meet the top teams. We should find out over the next few weeks.

The first half stats were impressive, especially with the completion rates.

The second half there was a few nerves when the Eels started strong but there is usually momentum swings in games and you need work through that period. The low score in the second half was good to see, work through a tight game and come out on top.

We look a lot better with the ball with the halves playing more on both sides of the park. That works especially well with Johnson with his speed and the opposition probably won't have done much homework on him as he would have been mentioned more for their left hand side.

Very happy with the game today. Early in the second we started giving away silly soft penalties, but we cut that shit out and went on about our business. A team didn't put 20+ on us, we won, and looks like we have no injuries. The bar has been raised again and I hope they can deliver next week to at least that standard.

Taking each week as it comes but it looks like we're finally starting to get some confidence and combinations together.

Hopefully we get to a point where Kearney starts using a replacement dummy half earlier. It seems like 3 weeks in a row now around the same period in the game Luke has made a fumble from dummy half.

The Dragons game in pretty much sealed out fate and no chance in coming back, the Titans game we were chasing the game and it could have been costly, this weekend another one.

It could be he's thinking too much on what to do next but the time of the game would indicate fatigue. If we could get someone on earlier, hopefully Roache. We would could someone fresh before bringing Luke onto close the game.

Like the rest of the side he's been going well the last few weeks the timing of his fumbles just seem to be a bit of a pattern.

Foran aside I think it's important to recognize the importance of having Roger Tuivasa-Sheck available every game. We lost him so early last year and suffered accordingly.

Great game today, how strange is it to see a warriors side marching up the field with big metres. Everyone played their part and especially pleased for Big ken who finally broke the duck. He even did a sidestep/swerve to no one once he got the ball but had the nous to get further towards the posts.

Threats all over the park. That Parra pack was pretty good and certainly wasn't lacking in size or energy but we managed to win the ruck and therefore the middle.

Think we will give Canberra (and others) a run for their money.

We did a great job of containing their forwards tonight. Our pack has been improving with ball in hand, but tonight we finally seemed to muscle up defensively

Our kick-chase also very good

The attack is looking as good as iv'e seen it in years...player movement and application has improved out of site just from the inclusion of Foran.

A bit worrying that the rise and fall of this team is dependent on one player, but fuck it, we're starting to look like a team.

Very satisfied. The spine really controlled the game. James Gavet was excellent. Thrilled for Ken Maumalo touching down. He's much maligned but week in week out he tries his guts out. Just needs to round out his scoring skills and he could be a really good player. David Fusitua back on the wing is good - his agility at the line really helps us on play two.

The fact is when we started the second half a little slow, that was a point where we usually fold. But then Fusitua and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck come up with the tackle of the match. Fusitua had Radradra covered. Ayshford covered his channels nicely. And Solomone easily had his best game of the year.

Very satisfying. Seems we have a plan and a team that seems confident in delivering it.

Next weeks game still concerns me. Our goal line defense is still suspect. No idea how we're going to contain them close to the line.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has been fantastic this year returning from injury. He has done some great clean up work from the back cleaning up attacking kicks. The last few weeks he hasn't been under any pressure with bombs in terms of pressure from chasers but he has been safe from a spectator point of view when a kick goes up or the opposition work an attacking kick he ends up there to clean it up. Some of that might be from history where we would have an unforced error from a bomb.

I always love a fullback who comes back direct to start the set. He is also coming in field for inside balls or off loads, hopefully we see that paying off soon.

Agree on the metres. That first half was great to see, followed up from last week where the Titans struggled to get out of their half while we marched up field into their half to attack. Hopefully we see it continue.

To be fair, how many would have before Foran appeared on the field last week?

One thing is painfully obvious, well at least to me anyway...the team dont believe in Kearney, they dont believe in Johnson or Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Hoffman or Mannering when it comes to leading them to the top, but they believe Foran can show them the way.

To quote a movie...the men have found their captain.

He had a similar impact on the Eels last year. That continued after he left as they went reasonably well towards the end of the year. They also had the cap dramas, and Norman going off the rails but their form continued well for a while.

It is pretty amazing to see how much more organized we seem now compared to a few weeks ago. We also seem to have a plan whenever we have the ball compared to a few weeks ago where the aim looked to be to not drop the ball and complete sets.

The big test will be over the next few weeks when we hit the road.

Early second-half lapse coupled with the VERY average/poor first 20 minutes of the match means I couldn't rate "A" - would have gone B+ though

What a relief to see a whole team performance with no one making a monkey of themselves. It's a very hard league but a fair wind in Canberra could siganl a much better season that expected. It'd be worth working out how to make staying ok for Foran. Losing him and Shaun Johnson would make next year look misreable. Ayshford was very good - hard to see way back for Lolohea now (or Manu for that matter with Maumalo now knowing he might get passed to). First time for a while that the 4 props have looked strong. Happy daze!

Just finished work and watched the game
WOOHOO!!!!!!!!! Well done the Warriors. I am fizzing after watching that display
And well done Stephen Kearney. The coach has got to get some ups for the way the team is starting to gel. Foran has obviously been huge in bringing it together but they look to be continuing on with what they have been doing all season
Trying for defensive parity and minimising mistakes and now adding attack to the program
As has been said above it will be interesting to watch what happens over the next 2 or 3 weeks. If they keep playing to their plan and don't drop their heads when it goes tits up they will do ok.

Let's be honest. If it wasn't for FOran, we would be 1/6 and everyone would be asking how long Kearney has got. It's really that simple.
