General NRL 2017 Round 23 - General Discussion

Fuck it's must suck playing the warriors there's absolutely zero build up coverage of any of their games. This game in particular, seems like every show is purposefully avoiding talking about it. I had to double check whether the game was actually on this week.

A thread for all 2017 Round 23 team lists, discussions, news and views. Serves as a team list thread and game day discussion for all games through the week (besides the Warriors one of course :) ).

Feel free to add team lists as they become available people. Thank you...

Apologies for getting this one out late. Thanks drunk_monk drunk_monk for creating one.

Broncos have peaked one month too early.

I've seen them do this before

Was having this discussion last night. Possibly early but it all depends on how they track from here on out. As long as they can maintain that momentum they will be looking great come finals time. Reminds me of there run in 2015 where they made the GF. Bennett will adjust it if he needs to. Been there enough times to read the signs.

Just on that game I was in awe of the Broncos style of play. The skill, fluidity, timing, instincts, speed... Just such an impressive team and brand of footy. Had that of been us playing them last night we would have gone the way of the Titans. Milf is so good to watch. His ability to read the play on the fly is probably the best in the game right now. Was also great to see Moga score a couple from the simple in and away. No need to try barnstorm through like the Warriors seem to have to rely on.

Knights win over the Sharks made me feel a little better about the loss last week. James Maloney is still such a flake on defence. Knights targeted him a lot...

Did the two games merge into one for you last night?

Oops lol.

Anyone think the wheels are falling off the Eels team? I like Nathan Brown. Goes hard. And whatever happened to Semi? Use to be so exciting to watch. Seems like a passenger now.

Other thing that got me watching the Knights. Where the hell is their salary cap spent on???

Good way to change the subject!!

Eels have definitely past their peak. I see them falling to 8th by finals time.

Overrated and punching way past their weight.

Was at the Bronco's game last night, 35000+ there, it's got to be a huge advantage and they'll be aiming for a Top 2 spot now try and milk Suncorp for all its worth , which got me thinking of similarities between the Warriors and the Bronco's and apart from being one team towns touted as potential powerhouses upon their admittance into the NRL, that's about where it starts and ends sadly

Man what happened to Kevin proctor. Use to be one of the best

It must be hard to shine in a system where you lack the precision and intensity from the players around you that you've come to expect from the Storm.

The Titans players look like their on different pages at times, especially on defence.

with this penalty try in the storm/roosters game...

why do so many ex players, commentators and so on not actually know the rule?

It was a clear penalty try.

they are always saying 'but he wasn't 100% certain to score'... whoever is?

dumbasses

Because the rule is you have to be near on 100% certain to score the try, he was noway near certain to score that. Ball was doing the dirty bounce. Penalty and send off for mine.

But then again it's the nrl, so role the dice. Nobody has any idea, most notably the refs.
