No love for Parra then. Fair enough. They are my second team and Im glad they are in the top 4.
Nothing personal Maraea, but I have never liked the bastards even when Jack Gibson was coaching because there was no salary cap then and with the income from their decent league club they could plunder all the talent from other clubs. They have never really been the same since the salary cap, that is why they have to cheat. Just saying like.

Who's watching sunday footy?

Some good games happening.

This is why i follow league. The speed, urgency and passion by both teams is fantastic to watch.

None of that fake BS offered up by the Warriors

A quote about the juniors:
"Earlier in the day the Warriors' under-20 side were thrashed 70-4 by the Knights.

Over the past three round the club's NYC team have scored 18 points, while conceding 182.

While the Warriors have changed their approach to the under-20 team and promote the best young players up to the reserve grade NSW Cup team at an earlier stage in their careers, it's still embarrassing for a team playing in Warriors colours to consistently get thrashed like this.

"They got beat by 70 two weeks ago too (by the Cowboys)," Kearney said.

"That's something I can't change at the click of a finger, there are a lot of things at the football club that need to improve and we're working through a process that's going to help do that.

"But there are things that have probably let slip in the last while and that's what happens when you take your eye off the ball.

"When you don't look after those sorts of areas, that's what ends up happening and we'll be addressing that."

That is easily fixed. Plenty of tackling practice, tackle, tackle, tackle till they cannot stand up. If that doesn't work cancel the team, fire Iro and get some decent recruiters in.

Tackling isn't rocket science, lazy bastards just make out it is. Melbourne don't keep anybody who won't tackle, why should the Warriors?

Who did they plunder when Gibson was there coach. A big percentage of there team were local juniors or came
through the lower grades. If you consider poaching Stumpy Stevens from the Roosters for a pie and a can of coke
your probably right. 1981 GF team
FB Steve Mckenzie Wyong
W Eric Grothe local junior
W Graeme Atkins local junior
C Steve Ella local junior
C Mick Cronin Gerringong Parra 1st Sydney club
Peter Sterling Wagga Wagga came through the lower grades
Five Eighth Brett Kenny local junior
Lock Ray Price Dundas valley rugby union
2nd row Kevin Stevens Easts
2nd row John Muggleton played very little 1st Grade for Balmain
Prop Bob O'Rielly local junior
Hooker Steve Edge a big signing from St George
Prop Ron Hilditch local junior

Plundered a lot of players didn't they

Apologies:oops:, but they weren't the same after the salary cap came in...were they?;)
Bruce the Eels success in 81 82 83 & 86 were built upon there junior development. When they tried to buy a comp
they went tits up. BTW in regard to there cheating, they are just one of many. Storm, Bulldogs, Raiders.
The Raiders were found to have rorted the cap the year they won one of there GF's but the then NSWRL were too
piss weak to do anything about it other than a paltry fine. Today that would have been taken off them

They have quite a small area compared top other clubs so their junior development was pretty impressive.

Quite the opposite next to the Penrith district there's was always the 2nd biggest. There lack of sustained success
has been due to shit football admin and stacking there junior teams with cuzy bros in more recent times

You mean Aussie cuzzy bros?

Man it's depressing watching other teams play such good footy. Even the shit teams are throwing the ball around and being entertaining even if they lose. The warriors are plain fucking boring now. There's nothing fucking exciting about them. It's the way their playing and that all goes back to the coach. Completion rate doesn't mean shit if you can't make your way up the field. Rather make 60 meters and lose the ball on the 4th or 5th then turn it over after a complete set where we made 30 meters

It's like when all the NBA teams starting realising the way to win was build a team around 3 point shooters and not big men. I'm seeing even the Better teams
Even the storm and sharks not afraid to throw it around and take risks on attack rather than go for completion rates and have succes. Our team is the one still building around a proccess and safety first footy which other teams have evolved from and gone next level we're still thinking this is the right way forward. We're so fucking behind it's sad
