On line speed, I think we need a couple of forwards on the paddock who's main job is line speed on the first 3 tackles of each set. They don't have to make huge dents in the line when we have the ball. They are there to lead the defensive charge and make metres for us while we're on d...

The club needs to immortalize these guys ahead of the attacking players as well.

Honestly, I think that might be exactly the type of role that Charlie's been given. Lead the line speed on the first few tackles, and axe some fools with those legs tackles of his...

Line speed decides games.

That is all.
Yes ture that's why Manu is good he makes the yards and most of the time falls forward and gets up fast. We seen it in the weekend when he gets over the advantage line our boys follow up with the good stuff

Looking forward to seeing how Kata matches up against Blake Ferguson considering he got totally schooled in their last encounter.
Ferguson was all class in setting up SKD's try against Manly at the weekend so hoping Kata has taken note(s)

This is one of those games thats been setup for us to go in there and snatch a victory given their injury list and form.
But hell we are the Warriors where nothing is ever that straight forward.

An injury hit Roosters squad then a Manly outfit still trying to find its groove before taking on the in-form table topping Doggies.

Let the guessing games begin.

Same here. Really looking forward to that. Hoping Kata see's it as a chance for redemption instead of the usual, "No its just another game for us" type cliche.

So far Ive been impressed with Kata this season. Seems to be developing really well and warding off the dreaded 2nd year syndrome. Be a feather in Cappy's cap who has backed Kata 100% while most fans have at one stage bagged his continual selection...

I rate Kata but I still reserve the right to criticise any player who has a bad game or makes too many errors.

Some on this forum have a tendency to back a player no matter what and roundly slate anyone who dares criticise their favourite player, this IMHO is what is wrong with our club as a whole.

If a player performs well he should be picked for the team, if errors creep into his game he should receive specialist coaching to address those errors. Should the problems continue they should then go down to reserves where the pace is a bit slower and try to resolve the issues there.

One thing that I have noticed creeping into Mannering's game is stupid offloads which have handed the ball to other teams. Smart NRL coaches have also observed this with Simon and have players waiting to snaffle the ball. Lets be big enough to call it like it is when a player has a good we do so why not call it when they have a bad game without getting all pissy about it?

I was not a Kata fan till I watched him closely during the knights game.. he is a dead set champ.. his defence was awesome.. huge improvement and man does he attack everything he does 110%.. I am now a kata fan.. I think Ayshford & Kata with Konnie either on the wing or impact is right (until injury). The only headache we have is someone truly directing the team.. Johnson is mecurial but not the leader/ controller.. Robson is not it either.. Lulueyes and Luke hopefully will be! I reckon Luke is pissed off he was not named captain by the way! my 2 cents! :)

I'd be a bit more comfortable about this game if we were playing the Roosters from round 1-2 who were letting teams run right through them. The last few weeks they have been like were competing in games but lacking the polish or luck to complete the job.

Love how the commentators in the talk show in OZ talk about how there's daylight after the Bronco's and Cowboys. Before the game yesterday, the Bronco's were in 2nd place and the Cowboys in 8th. Idiots.

Anyone heard of any potential changes for the team this weekend? The person I usually hear things from (no, not the Tin Kitten) has said things have been pretty quiet this week given the focus on Bully and Cappy's response, and the possible swap of Lane for RFM and he hasn't even heard any whispers.

How long do you wait till you try Shaun Lane in first grade ?

Lets say he is a direct swap....all things being equal, meaning....Lanes fit...rumors are baseless...he's ready to play.

RFM held eighteenth man Status till he played himself out of the team against the Broncos.

Does Lane walk into the side in place of Hurrell ?

He is a forward, if he is a direct swap, does that afford him the status of ready to go ?

I wouldn't think he would be seen as senior enough or with the experience to slot straight in to FG (unless we have another horrendous injury run) but will spend sometime with the NSWarriors side first.
