Which forwards are soft? Lillyman? Mutts? Vete? Lisone? And why are they soft? That's who they are, or are they not soft and play soft?Their forwards were rolling through us easily ,our wingers are used as forwards to start our sets because our forwards are soft. Burgess boys made our pack look weak
Reynolds gave Johnson a master class in tactical kicking and game management.
Joe Burgess & Johnston proved sharp fast alert wingers will always beat slow turning titanics. Maumalo is just one dimensional I'd have Wells or Allwood before him.
Bodene has a habit of knocking the ball on then in the next play giving away stupid penalties to try and make up for his mistake, he does it all the time he loses composure too easily.
Tui is better off on the wing seems like it's his best position.. don't know what's happened with him. His positioning and communication is useless. He defended quite well in the past now he doesn't even want to throw his body on the line.. He did it last week when Anthony Don scored he just doesn't have that mongrel to defend the line.
No excuses for that shocker performance.. Maguire out coached McFadden simple as that.

Yes, but I asked who? I don't think Vete was. And why were they soft? Afraid of a big Bunnie pack? The pack were soft.. got out muscled and out played. Weak performance. Forwards never like being told they're soft, that's the equivalent of spitting in their face. The weekend gone they were soft that's the only word I can use to describe that performance. If there is any other word I could find as an excuse I'd use it but there isn't.

Yes, but who? Cause Cappy (haha) needs to get rid of them for the Cowboys. I suspect Vete and Mutts weren't soft. Neither was Lisone. That leaves Lillyman and, and, and...we never have good line speed, and all the forwards have a hand break. Why would they be unmotivated and disinterested? I think they started believing in themselves without putting in the effort. Except for Shauny J. Late in the game, he started running into the line. Foolishly, I thought. He has nothing to prove. Made me feel sorry for him. Tries his guts out.Don't think they were afraid they just seemed lethargic and disinterested.. They didn't seem motivated or willing to work as a unit. Line speed wasn't there, ball skills weren't there.. One out stuff not giving each other options by supporting in numbers. Simple errors. No energy or leg drive pushing through the tackle. Rabbitohs pack just rolled through us.. inability to halt their momentum or put on some decent shots.
Simple stuff that their pack did better then us.

Yep the club were handing out contracts like they were going out of fashion - I'm mainly talking about Lolohea, Lisone & Maumolo. Couple of good games and bam you're signed up for another 4 years. Same could've been said for Kata & Vete but they have actually made a conscious effort to be better players this year.
Ahwell we're stuck with them now unless Jimbo can pull something outta the hat
How do we move them on? Always been curious when they say released early from contract so does that mean the club have to sit them down and say you have no future and pay them a lump sum termination? Mayb maumalo needs to move into the 2nd row and away from the wing/centre far too much of a defensive liability and after bunnies gameplan i would be doing the exact same against warriors if i was a coach. Move Maumalo on to super league will be fine there
I wish it were as easy as just moving them on but it definitely isn't. There's others on here who can answer your question better than me, but In short - I believe it's like any full time job. You only get terminated if you've screwed up badly (more often than not its off field issues)and i'm pretty sure, when it comes to being released, both parties need to agree to it and the new club for the released player would have to pay part or all of their current wage? As no club wants to release someone and pay their full wage while they're at another club.
the most likely scenario of having a clean out would be for the boys to have another red bull & pills night... Here's hoping lol
I agree on most of your points but a top coach can get the commitment from the team and he has to manage his team, so can't see a wholesale clean out unless you are in the know, the but Cappy will be lucky to justify his position next year and I am not in the knowWell a game for dummies. Rabbitohs are a very strong talented team who play for each other consistently regardless if they win or not. Leagues a simple game if we had a team of strong talented individuals who would play for each other consistently we would more often than not win.
The Warriors have a fatal flaw-They do not offer Consistency nor at all times play to win. The desire is not always their. Desire comes from motivation. Is the Coach highly regarded by all players? Does he motivate them with desire? Unfortunately the answer to getting the balance right is also very fine. Its very easy to sack the Coach and very easy to let players go. The hard question is? What do we do next to change the situation. Also how long do we wait until the decision to make changes is arrived at? Or do we carry on in denial.
If we leave the Team and its whole management style as is, It is highly likely we will have the same result in 2017/18.
From my experience as a former player a Coach needs to continually examine his performance and make a decision as to his ability to coach and motivate a particular group of players. Success is the yard stick in a Coaches career. He must also make the hard decisions to drop players not capable of holding their positions in a team.
Players have very little responsibility. Have an off day and its acceptable. They have no one to answer to unless the Coach decides to drag them in for a talk. Generally they are overpaid and accordingly often under perform. Just look at results from this current squad. So what do we do, right now to get it right.
Does the Coach reconsider:
1) Playing positions: Not all players will adapt to a new position
2) Techniques and their implication: Defensive patterns, attacking lines to run etc.
3) Motivation and strategies
If you have read this far you will get the impression the buck starts and stops with the coach right?
Wrong very wrong! This current squad is sadly lacking in killer instinct, ability and commitment. In fact at least half this squad would find it extremely difficult to find another team to go to. I am not naming names but for the 2017/18 season we desperately need a complete team overhaul as we do appear to have a level of complacency in this group and that needs correction now.
Summary: It isn't the Coach The players need to be held accountable for their performances this Season and strong decisions made. You heard it here expect a player clean-out for next season.

I am surprised at how few people have rated the players this week - I would have thought the pitchfork brigade would be out in force!
That needed our pack to dominatePressure on Reynolds before he kicks?
No way in hell that'll happen. This is the team Cappy spent the last 3 years building. Not a single player is on the roster that Cappy didnt sign, re-sign or debut. Cappy will go first before any player does...No way are we headed for a player clean-out.
