So does that mean Tui and Fusitua are both practising on the wing and at fullback this week? No practice, no play.

The fans feel a lot more comfortable with Fusitua at the back and I guarantee so do the players. Don't fuck with the team cappy !!!

Say Fusitua becomes Fullback even for next year. Who else would support having Roger Tuivasa-Sheck at five-eight?

I don't see Roger Tuivasa-Sheck having any of the necessary credentials to play five eight, it's easy to forget he only converted from wing to fullback last year. As far as I know he's never played in the halves before and would only be a stop-gap at best.

We haven't seen the best of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in a Warriors jersey yet but we know what he's capable of producing, I'm sure no-ones forgotten he was the Dally m fullback of the year last year.

The best thing about this team at the moment is almost everyone is positive. From the fans to the media. Just read RLW expecting to read some gossip or something negative there was nothing. Watched all the footy shows on sky it's all pretty positive. There is even positively from the NZ media.

The best part for me is that this game can be about what Simon Mannering has achieved for the Warriors in playing 250 games for the club and not about issues within the team.

Looking forward to celebrating Simon achievement with the fans at Mt Smart on Saturday.

Fusitua is great on the wing and at fullback so he could just slot straight back into wing.
LoLo is the problem, he is great on the wing but not at fullback, and with both Kata and Ashford playing well at centre it is unlikely he will get a run at centre.
When Roger Tuivasa-Sheck comes back I would rather have Fusitua on the wing, he has grabbed his first grade opportunity with both hands.

Lots of questions to be answered in the Fusitua for fullback debate.

Can he sustain the form he has shown so far ? If he can he would be the best Fullback we have seen probably since McKinnon.

The problem is he has only had a handful of games there.

Will the coaching staff give him the time to prove he's a serious full time fullback option ? Debatable. This week they are talking about dicking around with Him and Tui.

Would Roger Tuivasa-Sheck be happy to play another position ?
Probably not.

People say we haven't seen the best of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and that he was Dally M for the Roosters.

Personally I think that Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, like Tomkins, struggles defensively when taken out of their respective highly defence oriented former teams, and are exposed in a Warrior environment.

Fusitua on the other hand...so far....has the reads and the determination to out play both those guys, out play Locke and Hohaia, with his try saving feats.

Fusitua's small sample of games has shown him to be an adept weapon in attack as well.

Fusitua is also a better more lethal Wing Fb player in that small chunk of games than:

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
Lolohea
Pom
Fisi'iahi
Locke.

Can Roger Tuivasa-Sheck play five eight ?

No idea, that's the type of selection Stephen Kearney would Gamble on if forced to.

Personally I recon Fusitua has more potential as a fb than Roger Tuivasa-Sheck purely because Fusitua so far has a lot more to offer there defensively.

Let's say Roger Tuivasa-Sheck comes back slowed up after a career screwing ACL.

Let's say he is slower and the mega meters aren't there.

Rather than use him at five eight ( I recon Johnson deserves a big money signing partner that Is a specialist) ....

Play Roger Tuivasa-Sheck at left center and push Kata to the Wing (Roger Tuivasa-Sheck passes).

If that upsets Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and he pisses off to Union, so be it, use that money to buy a top five eight and a Prop.

None of this will happen. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck will be given a guaranty of his fb position.

I think people are over reacting to the Fusitua/Tui mid game switch. Forget about Tui's non selection last week. It just gives the Titans something else to consider. Any doubts created is a good thing.

Possibly a bit of SGH influence here. The All Blacks don't consider Fullback/Wings, they employ a back three.

Being such totally different types of players Tui and David can bring points of difference on attack and Defence, and brings both into the game more.

It has always been my belief that in both codes the blindside Wing is the most underemployed, yet potentially dangerous player on the field.

The Tui/Fusitua switching idea has nothing to do with confusing the opposition and everything to do with neither player being fit enough to be effective at fullback for a whole game, particularly Lolohea.

Purely for his defence/tackling ability he is shaping up as the real deal.

Lolohea

This year he has silenced his critics and some of the tries he has scored would be in the years highlights reel but that was because he played outside a top quality distributing centre. LoLo has also looked good outside Ayshford.
He is pretty nimble for a big guy and and makes his kick returns from fullback look easy whereas LoLo hardly gets out of the ten but is better at spotting a gap in broken field defences.

Pretty good having two quality home grown products.

Back when I used to follow Union, I got invited to the semi-final and grand final of the first Super 12 rugby comp. I remember SGH using the tactic then of swapping Vidiri and Jonah from one wing to the other during games.

I like the idea of the Fusitua Lolohea switch. We know Lolohea is a decent ball player and we know Fusitua is a great finisher. Sounds like a win win to me.

TBH I'm seeing a lot of SGH with a lot of the things that have happened lately with the team and the biggest appears to be the no "Dickheads Policy".

What SGH did was go and talk to top teams like the Broncos and NFL teams to see how their coaching structures were set up and then implemented the same structures to the All Blacks. The first thing he did was get appointed head coach and got two very able coaches under him along with the physios, dieticians etc.

League has been a professional sport far longer than Rugby in New Zealand but has always employed small thinking and an "Us and Them" mentality so it is a welcome change of attitude to see Cappy come out and say that he is not concerned about his job as he is trying to set the club up on a truly professional basis.

Sol's defense has been top notch this year, the improvement is out of sight. He's shutting dudes down, and doing it with attitude!
Name a centre who's got the better of him this year so far?

Imo Tui is best suited on the wing right now.

We don't need to fix what ain't broke.

Doesn't matter whether it's Fusitua or Lolo at fullback. The Titans still have to tackle each of them. We forget that Fusitua did quite well on the wing too. As did Lolo. Maulolo got close to two hundred metres last game against the Sharks. I think he's outplayed Manu this year. Put Manu on the bench as he hasn't been practicing much on the wing...leave Kata where he is, he's doing fine.

Cappy has a way of needing to change players around even when they're playing well at their position in the backs. Dickhead.

Certainly the Warriors use their Left Wing for a battering ram and a Kick to option.

Very un imaginative.

The pyramid is inverted too, this ridiculous thinking that a big fast finisher should be working in tight spaces and scoring Try's only they can score.

If you have your most potent scoring player on the left wing, surely it is smarter to use your fb /center/ and backrower to draw players....leaving a one on one or open space for that Wing to go down the tram line.

We just don't have the rounded players to pass the ball and defend well as a unit on the left to give that Left Wing their max strike threat.
