The council identified Takapuna becoming housing as a potential land use NOT me - so untangle your knickers.

o be fair the tweet you posted was to sell all the Auckland council owned golf courses to solve the housing crisis and budget issues. Many don't think that is a good idea.
the Auckland Council is not broke...just poorly managed

just some gossip...been watching the weekly late afternoon Hoon that Bernard Hickey does. Lots of gossip about two deputies outshining the number 1...i.e. Nicola Willis and Desley Simpson...they even had the nerve to put it to Nicola...her lack of response was deafening

Bullshit, we have an underclass because rents/housing is expensive (the cost of living in NZ has been expensive for a very long time), we under invest in education and welfare which keeps people in the trap. Keeping people in poverty is a govt lead choice.
I've been in NZ as an a immigrant for over 30 years, and i agree with this. The only reason i can buy my own house is cause my parents can help me.

What I am doesn't change you. Sling some more son. I know who I am and are comfortable with it.

And many moons ago when I flatted in Mt Wellington you could do evening golf over summer at a good price. I didn't but others in the group of flats did. And no one there had a lot of money. But you and your far right buddies would deny them.

And who owns Spark. Although in reality it's just a venue guided by Ticket Master Australia with a lease paid to a private company. A golf course is a diamond compared to the 80-90 mill we spent building this turkey.
Who owns ticketmaster / the answer is Live Nation.

Honestly what sort of silly boomer do you need to be to call someone "far right" because they think 13 public golf courses is a bit much for the golfing demographic and the land could be utilised better for Auckland citizens. Honestly Embarrassing of you.

It's not worth my time explaining things to a far right drone like yourself. I assume everything you say is just a collection of crap you listen to in the outer edges of society.

#golf for the average Aucklander

You were critical of some guy running a brothel yesterday. Don’t know who he is but sounds like another right winger that you follow?

Like all you right wingers, it sounds like he doesn’t know how to run a business but you do know prostitution was legalised under a Labour government?

You can embarrass yourself with your old fashion conservative far right wing judgements about brothels but us liberals are a bit more open minded… 🤣

Bloody ell this is taking an unexpected turn, turns out Juju's in a far right sleeper cell like the Warriors version of Morrissey

Nationals confidence of taking the upcoming election seems to have taken a real hit, Luxon just isn’t getting traction and I’m not sure who would be more effective as leader.
I think its as most people called it earlier, Its going to be a close run race and the minor parties are going to decide it. National wont be changing leaders before the election. Hipkins is enjoying a bit of a honey moon period as most new leaders do. I do notice he has been pushed a lot more over recent weeks by the media and the shine is starting to wear off a little. Luxon isn't the best but no opposition leader ranks very highly as preferred PM unless something drastic happens to the current government leader.

I'm picking Labour to squeak in at this stage with the support of the Greens and the Maori Party

They should roll Luxon. Willis is clearly better.

When a left supporter says that you know Luxon is the man for the job 🤣

Honestly Willis is good but I think she has a bit of crusher Collins about her that could rub people the wrong way when exposed a bit more. Can sometimes be direct and blunt?

Can see her being ready in a few more years though. Quick witted and performs well.

It will be close. National is deliberately withholding policy (same as Labour) until the election campaign is underway and it will gain more traction.

Opposition leaders are always on a hiding to nothing with little platform. Has there been an opposition leader outside an election campaign that’s looked popular in the last 15 years?

Nope. They are all said to be hopeless simply because they have no platform. There’s a string of probably 10 Labour and National MPs with always the same result.

Media pushing for change is just noise.

not sure if she is or not to be honest. I dont think it would be a good move this close to an election and the two of them make a fairly good team as far as I can see. I cant see any reason to roll him either. The party is still polling well, he has still relatively high preferred PM polling.

Lol, yeah he's perfect for the job. Falling poll numbers (party and preferred PM).
My money is on he'll quit politics if he doesn't win the election.
