Warriors Sign McKinnon From Eels
Newsroom Agency Story10:45am, 4th July 2006
The Warriors interest in Parramatta's Wade McKinnon has been confirmed with the 25-year-old former South Sydney fullback signing a three-year contract.
He will move to Auckland at the end of this season.
McKinnon will take over from the unwanted Brent Webb, who is heading for England, and says he's excited about playing under head coach Ivan Cleary and alongside the likes of Steve Price and Ruben Wiki.
He says the Warriors have lots of young talent and huge potential so they will be a great team to be part of.
Cleary says McKinnon's one of the NRL's best fullbacks, second only to Melbourne's Greg Inglis in line breaks and average metres gained per game.
