After the other threads, notice there's a few Melbourne based fans here. Anyone interested in meeting up for the game on Thursday? Or other games this year?

Hi Frank

At some stage I rekon it would b neato to catch up and watch a game. Its wierd but living over here you start to accept that no one else gives a rats about the warriors. And even start to accept that come game day you'll b sitting alone on the sofa with the wife lookin on indulgently making hmmm noises as you swear at the tv.
I hate 2 add tho that we are just geting a puppy this weekend, so might need 2 wait a couple of weeks

just as well cause with a handle like yours a get together in MELBOURNE of WARRIORS FANs just wouldn't seem right.

Yeah didn't think too hard when I did it, bloody long, might change it soon.

Anyone got a good local for watching the game? (Other than at home on the couch)

I am aware of the following places that will play the Warriors generally...

1) The Station Hotel, Prahran. Have always played the Warriors games when I have been there.
2) The Imperial Hotel, Bourke St CBD. Have the game on, but not always with the volume on as they play multiple sports.
3) Turf Bar, Queen st CBD. Have the game on, usually get volume with it in some location of the bar.
4) The Maori Chief, Moray st Sth Melb. Used to be the good, haven't been there in a while.

I've been so disappointed with the Warriors recently that I actually contemplated jumping ship to the Storm. Then I remembered I can't stand those fckrs. How is it they have so many facebook followers but they still can't fill AAMI Park?

Just had a mental image of wearing a Storm supporter jersey, now I feel dirty. I heard that Cooper Cronk irons his socks before every game and Cameron Smiths five o'clock shadow is drawn on?!?

the prob with supporting the storm is its a bit like supporting a brand of toaster, they do a good job, but at the end of the day they are just a toaster. So sterile.

Bellamy's definitely been taking a leaf out of the union book for a while now. Bennett used it to great effect for the Dragon's as well a while back. Is it going to far to suggest some consultancy from Henry wouldn't go amiss at the Warriors?? Probably is going a tad too far - but desperate times desperate means.

I stopped having anything to do with Union thirty years ago.

But I firmly believe that all means should be investigated / employed to gain an advantage. It would be impossible to not find things in union which would advantage a league team.

Biggest area's I reckon they could learn from union would be up and out defence when playing in space (i.e. from a scrum) and tackling one on one in the open field.

I'm moving to Melbourne at the end of March, just in time for the Easter Monday Storm clash
Does anyone meet up for beers pre game or is there a Warriors friendly bar close to AAMI
