Beau Scott returns to the Dragons
Thursday, July 6, 2006 - 2:58 PM

The St George Illawarra Dragons have today agreed to terms with former Dragon Beau Scott for three years, until the end of the 2009 season.

Scott, 22, joined the Illawarra Steelers in 2003 and played in the Steelers Jersey Flegg team in 2003 and the Dragons Jersey Flegg and Premier League team in 2004.

Last season Scott joined the Sharks and has since gone on to make his NRL debut and become a regular in first grade.

Dragons Coach Nathan Brown views Scott as a versatile and talented player who will fit well with his structure for next season.

“Beau Scott is a tough aggressive player who will be a welcomed addition to our Club next year,†said Dragons Coach Nathan Brown. “He is of a similar mould to Shaun Timmins, a centre with the necessary attributes to progress to the back rowâ€Â.

We should've bought this guy if we were really looking for another back, very promising player. Oh well.

3- Martin
4- Mannering
5- Vatuvei
6- Ropati or fien or hohia lol
7- Rovelli

So i dont think there would have been a point lol

I personal agree with you, however i keep hearing from the warriors that where after a winger/centre. i think Ah Vahn has done enough to keep his spot, what do you reckon??

hey seb, i was on the sharks forum and they were saying a few months ago the Sharks Management weren't all that excited about scott and thus being the reason behind the signing of Leon Bott. i wouldn't want the warriors to buy a player that has such a big question mark hanging over his head. in saying this, Brent Webb wasn't wanted by other NRL clubs either and now he's one of the best fullbacks in the world.
The moral of this story I hear you ask? I wouldn't have a clue! i just contradicted myself and am now very confused!

With regard to Bott, I doubt he was ever a viable option.
The main reason he left Brisbane, was because of family issues back in Sydney. He wanted to go back there, so was essentially looking only at those clubs in Syd.

Slightly off topic, is the NZ born and breed Sharks prop James Stosic any good?

I think we need to find another winger for the number 2 jersey.

I reckon 5/8 is a hard one still. I mean I wouldn't mind Ropati reall...but still like to see him work a bit more, and I don't really want to budge Fien or Hohaia from the hooking spot but I want Gatis in the side too! damn it! difficult to know how I'd arrange my team

lol you want everything don't you.

yeah I don't know either really. I am sure the management are looking everywhere to fill the gaps at 5/8 and on the wing/centre

Nice to know we have an attractive young lady to moderate over us:)

I have to agree, we need a 5/8 to become a quality side in my opinion.

Also, does Wiki and Prices contracts run out at the end of next season?

At 5/8th I wonder if the name Ben Walker has cropped up. He has a decent boot on him, can kick goals. Jerome moves into the centres, and Martin moves into BC.

I'm sure he wouldn't command too steeper price on the market. Just another option to build depth I guess.

I think price's does wiki signed through to 2008.

we do need a 5/8 but I don't think any experinced ones are left on the market.

my personal opinion is that ropati is more suited to the centres and not at 6 but we really don't have anyone else so he plays there. maybe he can be improved to be the running type 6 and leave the playmaking type stuff to ravs and fien.

and skinny is more than just a pretty face
