The much anticipated return of Willie Mason for Saturday's clash with the Raiders has been soured today with news that lock-forward Reni Maitua will miss two weeks due to a knee injury.

Mason has occupied the sidelines during the Bulldogs past two matches after being suspended for a high shot on Broncos' hafback Shane Perry back in Round 24.

Maitua will join eight of his first grade squad team-mates on the sidelines this week, five of which are suffering knee injuries.

Brad Morrin, Jon Green, Ben Czislowski, Roy Asotasi and Willie Tonga are all unavailable due to serious knee injuries. Add to that the absence of Tony Grimaldi along with youngsters Cameron Phelps and Trent Cutler who will both miss the remainder of the season.

Rookie Nick Kouparitsas has been named on the interchange bench again after playing only his second first grade game against the Panthers last weekend.

Utility Dallas McIlwain will start the match at lock-forward in place of the injured Maitua while Sonny Bill Williams will slot into the centres.

Yeah. Nate Myles is the only player i have really heard of on that bench.

I hate Nate (that rhymes). He is a money hungry pig!

You must have heard of Adam Perry!!

Name: Adam Perry
Nickname: Nugget
Position: Hooker
Height: 170cm (i'm just about taller then him!!)
Weight: 100kg
D.O.B: 29/05/79
Birthplace: Junee, NSW
Contract ends: 2007
Dog Years: 1999-2006
Debut: Bulldogs v Roosters, Round 8, 1999
Previous Club: None
Junior Club: Junee Diesels

Heres a summary of him!

Stocky, robust and clever vision is what makes Adam Perry a force at the Bulldogs.

Perry seems to know when the time is right to make a scoot up the centre of the ruck or go it alone close to the line.

A one-club-man, Perry has been a Bulldog for quite some time now and he recently cracked the 100 first grade games mark.

Last season was not so successful for the 27 year old as he continued to battle with a calf injury that saw him restricted to just 13 appearances.
