Anyone read in the Sunday papers that Tony Martin has made himself available for the kiwis... jeez hope we would be that desperate, hes not bad player but we have alot of resources in the backs.

That begs the question though, if you had to pick one who would it be Martin or Covell ?

Both are pretty ordinary but if they have a good day then they'd probably be good enough. I guess the question comes down to whoever wants to play for the Kiwis. But surely there are others bar just those two?

Theoritically you would pair your centre up with another who they are familiar with like Toopi/Martin. But both have shown a lack of understanding for the Warriors that you really wouldnt want to be doing that. Covell has had time with Vagana so since Vagana has been shifted into the centres for the Sharks, maybe Covell on the wing with Toopi/Vagana and the other winger can be Manu or Tame if Manu is not fit.

Paul Whatuira might have to miss out unfortunately, unless you want to play Vagana at 5-8 again.

Martin has improved with each game, although I think his goal kicking is still pretty average. He isnt international material yet, but you have to remember he was out of the game for months. I'd say he will turn out to be one of the better Warrior players by the year's end. Covell's name doesnt even register in my Kiwi selection.

Webster
Matai
Toopi
Utai / Lolesi
Vagana

My Kiwi backline would be:

7. Hohaia
6. Vagana
5. Utai
4. Whatuira
3. Toopi
2. Vatuvei
1. Webb

Outsiders: Eastwood, Carmont, Matai.

I didnt take into consideration the ESL players.

after Tony Martins performance Last Night against the rabbits with 9/9 Goals and a try for 22 points, and playing better and better with each game he plays. if you asked me 4 weeks ago i would of said " you got to be kidding me" but watching him play for the last couple of weeks he should be in the Test team.
