Some of my other favourite companions were Rose Tyler and Clara Oswald

There was only supposed to be 13 Regenerations of Doctor Who, but apparently, he got given extra lives which is unusual for a Time Lord. I used to read the books back when I was younger.

They will be up to the 15 Regeneration midway through the year with the new coloured Doctor, i think is the new PC way of saying that.
