A list of players from all 16 teams teams in the NRL and NYC that I have found to be eligible for Kiwi reprsentative teams. Have also included players who are eligible for the Cook Islands and are therefore technically eligible for New Zealand e.g. Dylan Napa, Tepai Moeroa. Please post if I have wrongfully listed or not listed players. All players listed have been taken from club websites and the NZRL website and newspaper articles e.g stuff. If you have any questions in regards to how a player is eligible for Kiwi representative teams let me know. List includes kiwi players who have played for Tier 2 Nations e.g. Samoa , Tonga and the Junior Kangaroos as under the current rules they are still eligilbe for future Kiwis selection but not Tier 1 Nations e.g. Australia . Have also included players who have declared for state of origin but have yet to represent NSW or Queensland.

Sorry no I don't know who that is. As a moderator are you able to fix the spacing between each team? It looks a bit messy and makes it harder to read forgot to use the preview thanks.
Hope that looks better for you.

Sorry. Friend with a guy on Facebook who shares the same passion about the Kiwis as you do and makes lists of all the Kiwi lads playing in the NYC. Heres the list he compiled for all the players playing in Round 5:

Here are the around 40 Kiwi eligible players that I know of playing in the Holden Cup this week not counting the Warriors.

Again 3 Taranaki boys will run out and are all regulars in there respective teams.
Zach Dockar-Clay has also been training with the NRL squad and featured in the first grade trials, as did injured Rabbitohs prop PJ Lose.

If anyone knows of any Kiwi boys running around the holden cup or SG ball etc please let me know.

Thanks can you edit one more thing the Roosters starting from Johnny Tuivasa-sheck down are part of there NYC squad not NRL can you fix that please.

In regards to SG Ball players Kalani Going is a Kiwi who plays for the Raiders SG Ball team. Also I think Jonathan Tufuga and Harry Barsdell are Kiwis who I think are a part of the Rabbitohs SG Ball team. They were included in the NZ Taurahere under 18 team last year. Will post more players that I find.

Through out the season can we update the list if Kiwi eligible players make their NRL and NYC debut who are not currently listed. Looking at your previous post looks like I missed four players Piki Rogers Roosters and Paora Kemp Dragons and Logan Houghton from the Storm and Zane Musgrove from the Rabbitohs.

Remis Smith son of former Kiwi Tyran Smith currently plays SG Ball for Paramatta. Also Sione Afemui a Kiwi currently plays SG Ball for the Canberra Raiders too. While younger brother Gideon Afemui is part of the Raiders Harold Matthews squad

I thought that Antonio Winterstein was now ineligible as pledged allegiance to Samoa ?? Can someone correct me if I am wrong but I would rather see him on a wing possibly over Peta Hiku if RTS is our Number 1

Parahi Wilson (Gold Coast, NYC)

A kid from our Ngaruawahia Panthers club.

Jessie Royal , SKD and hopefully one day we will be blessed to see this kids name in an NRL line up.

Like every other club we have some talent , but little to boast about when it comes to [players in the big show.

So it is nice to share this with my Warriors.

The young Nikorima has pledged his allegiance to Australia IIRC.
I have included Jayden Nikorima in the list because he is eligible to play for the Kiwis because he was born in Palmerston North. Under the current rules it is not until he represents Australia or Queensland at senior level that he can no longer be considered for the Kiwis.

Article below were it confirms Jayden wants to play for Australia.

Under current rules Toa Samoa are considered a Tier 2 Nation therefore Antonio is still eligible for the Kiwis. The current rules allow a player to play for both a Tier 1 and Tier 2 nation if they fit the right criteria. In this case Antonio is eligible for the Kiwis having been born in Auckland but is also eligible to play for Toa Samoa due to his ancestry. This is why I have included him as still eligible to represent the Kiwis in the future.

The NZRL have started a NZ eligible based NSW players team known as Taurahere who have played games against NZ based players at under 18 level. Hopefully they are able to do the same in Queensland were at the end of every season they could have a Tri series of NZ based players against kiwi eligible players from NSW and Queensland. This would help a lot of players to reconnect with their Kiwi roots. This is why the Kiwi roots camp that they currently run are also important. So we don't lose players to SOO and Australia.

Every year you see NSW and QLD rugby league name an emerging squad of potential future SOO players which are released publicly these emerging squads are involved in camps were they learn what it takes to play SOO.

Just thought why does the NZRL not do this every year were they name a Kiwis emerging squad and have camps I know they had the Kiwi roots thing before do they still this?

A possible Kiwis emerging squad this year

Jordan Kahu
Kodi Nikorima
Manu Ma'u
Curtis Rona
Kirisome Auva'a
Jordan Rapana
Jeremy Hawkins
Matt Mcilwrick
Sosaia Feki
Konrad Hurrell
Tim Simona
Manaia Cherrington
Sam Lisone
Te Maire Martin
Brad Takairangi
Zach Dockar-clay

All have yet to play for the Kiwis but all have the potential to do so in the future.

There's probably a whole host of names I'm missing. I just think the NZRL is a missing a trick by not doing the same as NSW and QLD. Would think it might help get dual eligible players to commit to the Kiwis earlier in their career as well.

Faitotoa Faitotoa a former nz u18 representative made his NYC debut last round with the Knights. Also Remis Smith son of former Kiwi Tyran who is still eligible for SG Ball has been playing for the Eels NYC team the last few weeks.

They should definitely do something like that in QLD. A lot of kiwi talent up this way. I'm sure they would get a lot of good people willing to pitch in and help out with it as well.

It might have helped a guy like Jayden Nikorima to choose the Kiwis instead of Australia if he had the opportunity to learn about his 'Kiwi Roots' by been in such a team an environment.

Nikau Te Rupe and Jaydn Su'A both NYC starting players for the Broncs and both NZ eligible. Both born in Christchurch I'm sure, as I grew up with their fathers.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully can keep adding more Kiwis to the list. Any idea of the positions they play?

Herman Ese'ese a prop 21 years of age from Auckland whose junior was the Mangere East Hawks made his NRL debut for the Bulldogs against Manly last week.

Piki Rogers also a Kiwi playing Holden cup for the Bulldogs this year good articles below about him. A good read.
