General #letsgonewarriors - Thoughts?

Oh god, now the Warriors social media team is using the 'letsgonewarriors' line? That is cringeworthy.

They pretty much started using it right away after the Brisbane game. And why not? It's awesome! :)

Would you rather have "Lets Gone Warriors" or "Its just a matter of faith" for the team slogan?

I would rather the Warriors social media team actually start thinking and come up with original ideas towards their social media/online presence rather than wait for a fan made character(Mt Smart Joker)/catchphrases to get publicity and ride their coat tail to the death.

What was the original hashtag they used? #warriornation? Its still used sparingly by others but not much by the club.

"Lets Gone Warriors" for sure. If the club uses it at least we only sound stupid/cute. Imo Thats way better than admitting we suck which is the impression I get when the club was using "its just a matter of faith".

#gothewarriors or as sir mad butcher says"go the mighty Vodafone warriors"

Whether you like it or not, expect to see it on a banner at every match. Yes, it's shite grammatically and yes, it's truly cringeworthy if you want to think of it like that. But then you can just go with it, accept it, laugh at it, get over it and, er, move on to the next cringeworthy experience.

In the cringeworthy stakes, I reckon that greasy pies and chips and beer in plastic glasses easily wins out over "Let's gone Warriors!", but then that's just my opinion. ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1372923010][/DOUBLEPOST]
#LetsGoneWarriors is the best of an exceptionally bad bunch. At least it's just a douchebag saying, not pretentious or semi religious sounding

And no-one's gonna forget it in a hurry. It's here to stay.

the only thing I like about it is that the Aussies don't know what the hell it means and they think they are missing out on the joke. It's a bit like them trying to comment on the team or how they play. We are a bit to far outside normal for them to understand.

As an English teacher I was destined to hate this.

I hate it on so many levels, but here we go...

It just reiterates the thoughts of so many of the detractors of the sport that it is a morons game supported by illiterates and the general dregs of humanity. It is just the same as Australian TV coverage of our fans concentrating on the toothless, overweight attention seekers and ignoring the ordinary, everyman fan and his family. It celebrates stupidity. It doesn't make any sense and there are a million other things that could be used to celebrate our talented and underexposed (by media in NZ) players.

It makes us look cheap and nasty and the sooner it's 'gone' the better.

#LetsGoneWarriors!

I agree. Dont get me wrong i didnt mind the slogan and thought it was funny at the time. But to see it being used over again and again, and then by the warriors themselves it cheapens the entire thing. I would probably be less annoyed if fans used it, but do not like the idea of the official warriors twitter account posting that. It is celebrating mediocrity. I have just been thoroughly disappointed with how the Warriors have gone about their marketing, starting the season with the 'True Warriors' crap, the use of every colour pallette in the world to create the numerous jerseys that have been on offer this year, and then plastering the Mt Smart Joker everywhere, even on the club posters...and now this. Its as if the Marketing dept is run by a bunch of 18yo kids.

When Scurrahnwas asked about the jerseys on radio sport he completely dismissed it, which showed me he is out of touch.

I was up in Auckland for work during the bye week and was shocked to see a tv ad saying warriors vs broncos at mt smart on Sunday. They had the wrong flipping weekend in their ad. To me this was very very poor.

Personally if its a throw away saying then I don't really care, I wouldn't say it but don't care if others do if ya think its fun and adds to your enjoyment of the team go hard I say... don't like 'keep the faith' its ass and it has passed its used by date, there has been a couple a seasons where it seemed like the ' keep the faith ' slogan was just taking the piss. Club needs a new one I reckon.

I hated the "Nek Minute" saying, it sounds stupid as fark, and so many people said it, got on my nerves big time.

Isn't the Tigers motto, "It's my life!"... I know which of the two I'd prefer!

I can understand the repulsion in some ways, but to me it is simply embracing a very funny incident that happened during a game, which itself was a great high point for the Warriors, and running with it. I'm sure in good time we'll all get sick of it, but for right now, it is the sort of thing that encapsulates and gives character to the 2013 season. As such, I'd be happy never to see it again after this season.
