From www.warriors.co.nz:
Vodafone Warriors back rower Epalahame Lauaki helped the Waitakere Rangers to a shock Bartercard Cup win when he made a try-scoring comeback from his long injury lay-off on Sunday.
Lauaki needed surgery after tearing pectoral muscles in the Vodafone Warriors' win over Wests Tigers in Christchurch on May 25.
He had been sidelined for almost four months recovering from his operation.
But on Sunday he was back scoring a try as the Rangers stunned the highly-placed Canterbury Bulls by winning 30-18 in Christchurch.
The Bulls had led 12-4 at halftime before the Rangers ran over them.
Apart from Lauaki, three members of the Vodafone Warriors' Allied Work Force elite development squad also crossed for tries, Dean Shepherd scoring twice and Robinson Godfrey and Scott Jones once each.
In the only other match played, the Tamaki Leopards destroyed the Wellington Orcas 50-28.
