I cant see Nikorima going as a priority by any stretch.
Even if he was only regarded as a back up to the first string halves he is already an upgrade on Sean O'Sullivan. He has added utility value covering hooker.
The issue seems to be when Kodi played well it brought expectation that he couldnt keep delivering on consistently. If he is a back up with no expectation on his shoulders for 1 year (until he goes to Dolphins?) he could be extremely valuable to our team. Much like Milford showed in the last 5-6 games of his bronco contract.....

If that’s his worse and he’s still better than everything else we have…isn’t it reasonable to expect that he will be better next year when there are better circumstances for him?

Got to agree with Tooks here Wrighty, chill brother. I’d rather have Niko on ice as a back up for some injury prone first stringers than give him away.
I also think there will be a lot of queenslanders horny for the prospect of playing for a QL team that are wanting to put their wares on display this year. Kodi among them. He’s not the greatest, but I suspect he will work hard this year to try to gain a contract and that can only be helpful. there will be times this year where we will glad he’s on the books

Haha bro everyone listened to me piss and moan about Chanel Harris-Tavita earlier on in the year, so I get that we have our frustrations with certain players.

Not a massive Kodi fan but this could work out in our advantage as he will hit the ground running being his “for sale” year and with the Dolphins pretty slow on their recruitment he seems like a depth player back up half option for them, but he still gotta earn it.
