Pray to the heavens( or the hells below) above that danny takes the week off, he's coach has put the offer for rest to him. Depending on origin danny might not play. Hopefully price can help danny decide on wednesday. Danny is neary as important as johns to newcastle, he will be a massive loss but i guess if we play our best it doesn't matter who plays we can beat them. I belive we can beat the knights in the fowards so the backs need to back them up, follow the offloads, chase the kick well, watch johns kicks. I have no doubte we can beat them, like someone said we beat the knights its basically gonna be 3 in a row.

I'm pretty sure Buderus will play unless he's told strictly not to. It's a good side, not too dissimilar to when we played them at Newcastle although that time they didn't have Joey...and hey they could have beaten us then too.

It'll mot certainly be a tough match and we're just going to have to match them.

3 losses in a row for the Knights, huh? Is Andrew Johns, their one man team, as it`s been said, wearing down as the season goes on? A one man team will never win a premiereship title, it takes a team effort to do that, and the Warriors proved it yesterday.

Craig Smith didn't help them much, either, lol - that hit from Mannering was a beauty!

Damn, I didn't get to see it! I missed the first half and some of the second half! :( Stupid work!

It was about ten to fifteen minutes into the match. The crowd was deafeningly quiet, and there were deadset only about three of us at our end of the Eastern stand making any noise. I remember thinking "what's up with this crowd? what will it take to wake them up?" Then Mannering did his hit on Smith, and the crowd burst into life, and stayed vocal for the rest of the game! :D

And believe me, it looked even better in real time! :D

Holy, you can tell that is going to hurt when he hits the ground.

Mannering is soon to become the rookie of the year for the Warriors, in my opinion, and has played GREAT footie from his first NRL game a few weeks ago until now... smart, fast, tough as nails and he`s just gonna keep getting better!!

Hate to tell you this, but he was rookie of the year last year and this is his second year but yeah he has been great since he came back from injury. Grant Rovelli has rookie of the year written all over him in my opinion.

He won that award in 2004, which is a pity, because it was won by default - he was the only rookie to take the field that season. But now he is really showing fine potential, and could turn out to be one of our best centres ever!

My pick for this year is Grant Rovelli.

Yeah, you guys might be right about Rovelli... but watch Mannering closely, Rovelli, he might just give you a run for your money before the season`s over.

Mannering doesn't qualify for the award, AK. In the NRL, a rookie is considered any player in their debut year in first grade, hence why he won it by default in 2004. ;)

Jesbass I think you meant 2005! hehe.
It's still early right now and I know everyone's picking Ravs at this stage but hold your horses people Mr. Ah Van may still conjur something up in the next few weeks. I ain't saying Ravs doesn't deserve to get it because I think he does deserve it. But I would say that anyway wouldn't I? ;)
