Newcastle will have a near full-strength side to take on the Vodafone Warriors at Ericsson Stadium on Sunday.
Still out is first-choice fullback Milton Thaiday and Danny Buderus and Steve Simpson have to come through tomorrow night's State of Origin clash in Brisbane.
But, should they come through it satisfactorilly, the Knights will have a formidable side in Auckland.
Newcastle come into this match after having the bye last weekend.
The full team named today is: David Seage; Brian Carney, Matthew Gidley, George Carmont, Anthony Quinn; Kurt Gidley, Andrew Johns (c); Craig Smith, Danny Buderus, Josh Perry; Steve Simpson, Clint Newton; Reegan Tanner. Interchange: Luke Davico, Adam Woolnough, Todd Lowrie, Riley Brown. 18th man: Kirk Reynoldson.

That's a good side, and it will take a good side to beat it.

Andrew Johns is as good as coming off SOO for me he was one of the commentators and will be travelling to the game late with their SOO reps. I think that they might be rusty in the first half and thats where the game will be won our lost. It surely must be an advantage at some point having 99% of your players training and being together all week compared to a team whose flying in players from all over the place for an away game over the Tasman.

Danny Buderus is likely to miss the game and Seage is still in doubt according to Chief Harrogan. suppose that's some good news. I've got a good feeling about this game for some reason. I think we'll go ok.

Despite the fact the Knights will have a guy on debut, and they are missing a couple of blokes we can't take them lightly! They are still a good side, and as we all know if the Warriors take a team too lightly....well need I say more
