A leading Kiwis league player faces a date with the NRL judiciary just as the ANZAC test draws near.
Winger Jake Webster has been charged with a grade one dangerous throw following Melbourne's 52-6 drubbing of Newcastle at the weekend. The good news is an early guilty plea will incur only 93 penalty points, avoiding a suspension.
Three other players are also due to front the judiciary.
Eels forward Zeb Taia's been charged with a grade one careless high tackle, while South Sydney's Stuart Webb is up on a grade one striking charge. And Newcastle prop Josh Perry's name appears on the list twice for grade one contrary conduct, after his side's loss to the Storm.
.............................................................
So in other words Jake Webster should plead guilty to avoid suspension.
