The Kiwis have finally had a breakthrough in their requests for Super League players for next week's ANZAC league test.
Wakefield has agreed to release forward David Solomona.
Solomona will fly out to Brisbane after Wakefield's Super League match at St Helens on Saturday morning New Zealand time.
He will miss Wakefield's match at Salford next weekend.
Club CEO Steve Ferres says they will miss him, but they do not feel it would be right to deny him the chance to represent his country.
Meanwhile, the Dragons and Australia have paid a high price in the ANZAC Day NRL match at Aussie Stadium.
Kangaroos hopeful Jason Ryles has sustained a suspected broken hand in St George's 22-12 win over the Roosters.
Ryles will have scans on Wednesday.
It was his first match back since breaking his hand in round four and is a further blow to Australian selectors, who have publicly lamented the dearth of in-form props in the lead-up to the test.
Only Brisbane veteran Petero Civoniceva appears a certain selection in the front row, with Bulldogs prop Mark O'Meley and Warriors skipper Steve Price other leading candidates.
