New Zealander Robbie Paul has had his first taste of success with his new UK Super League club Huddersfield.
His side has upset Warrington 26-10.
Fellow New Zealander Motu Tony has also been on a winning side, scoring a try in Hull's 40-14 drubbing of Wakefield Trinity.
David Solomona scored two tries for Wakefield.
Meanwhile, the Warriors' preseason campaign heads to the Gold Coast, with plenty of work to be done if things are to pick up.
Having lost 26-10 to the Cowboys in Cairns, they now face 2004 premiers the Bulldogs at Carrara Oval on Saturday.
Coach Ivan Cleary says they need to focus on their defence, while the execution on attack needs plenty of work.
He says they will become slicker with more games, but they have to stop giving away so much possession early, in order to stay in matches.
However, considering the faults, Cleary says his side is showing plenty of character.
