Hes Sonny Bill Williams older brother this is from the rl2 forums

he is sonny's brother.He's the goods, he's 2 years older than sonny and was getting scouted for a long time before sonny, but he just refused to go to training, bad attitude etc. so the scouts gave up on him and signd sonny. but now he's got his act together and came over to Syd, he's being kept under cotton wool at the moment

Had a read of the forum and it seems John is better than Sonny, Willie Tonga has two younger brothers who are just as good if not better, and Brisbane already have the third Anderson brother who of course just like the rest has been tagged as "better" than his siblings.

If John does choose to play and he is as good as Sonny then the Dogs are gonna be hard to stop, and thankfully so will the Kiwis. If he's not as good, well then I won't be surprised.

Played with both, Sonny and John Arthur. Very similar players but I'd say Sonny had more potential - that's based on when I was playing with them, don't know bout now. John's a goer though.

Personally from reading that article i dont think he will play pro...

It seems like he's pretty reluctant to play pro. If your hearts not in it then the weekly grind is going to take a heavier toll.

He plays for a club in Menai.He is noted to be alot bigger and better than Sonny Bill (who is his younger brother) but DOES NOT want to play proffessionally.He is NOT under contract with the Bulldogs' or any other club, nor does he ever want too.He is noted to have chosen to 'Hang out with friends, rather than chase a career in football'

Man, i just spent new years with him, he has a contract with the dogs and all that above was valid about 12 months ago, his fiancee is about to give birth to his first son and they aren't financially 'rolling in it' so he has decided to bite the bullett and support his new family by using the gifts that God gave him. don't quote news on someone you've never even heard of buddy. if you want to argue about it i'll just shoot you down

bak in auckland age grades they used to call john arthur 'The Lawn Mower Man' cause he used to always grass cut and were just as punishing as sonny billz hitz........
