General John Ackland - moving on

In a shock move it appears that this afternoon's Warriors game against the Storm will be the final game for Warriors Ass. Coach, John Ackland.
The man who 'found' Sonny Bill Willaims, wanted to spend more time with his family and is expected to take up a cricket coaching contract with NZ Cricket. Ackland a former Auckland left arm spinner will join John Bracewell as a special project coaching supervisor overseeing development of young Maori and Polynesian cricket players.

A great shame as he is a coach with a great record. What a great loss for the Warriors and NZRL as he could have been the next Kiwi coach.

Like all line-backers he had the speed, flexibility and mobility of a brick s**t house. Despite the date and the obvious unbelievability of the story, many people believed it. It was as funny and believable as your article playdaball. That link cracked me up...
