Looks like Ackland has targetted this game for the revival. Plenty of good beef returning to the team. Has the rugby boys Stanley and Hukatai out of favour or just being rested. I really like Hukatai but other than that, I'm looking forward to teh curtain raiser this week and its even on tv!

Stanley and Vete picked up suspensions for fighting.

During the game. Three Warriors and a Roosters player were charged. Think Stanley was looking at 3 weeks with an early plea. Fotofili was the other Warrior charged.

Didn't beat the six players charged with fighting from the Storm v Knights game.

Wicked to see Omar back! There's seen been some interesting selections so far as Ackland tries to find his best team.

Backing the boys for a big win there's some quality in that side and will be on a role after last weeks epic comback.

Cherrs for the info on the susspensions didn't know about that.

Hopefully if it's not a tv games there might be a local radio station taking the call with a stream. Sitting in front of Nrl live stats for 80mins is exciting in a weird way as I wait for the page to refresh but would rather at least a commentry.

It'll be a TV game. The early Sunday game always is.

Tuimavave scratched for clash against Raiders

The Vodafone Junior Warriors will have to do without Carlos Tuimavave for today’s sixth-round NYC clash against the Raiders in Canberra.
Tuimavave, one of the side’s most experienced players, had been named to return from a one-week lay-off with a groin complaint but will instead sit out this game as well.
His role will again be filled by 18-year-old Mason Lino while coach John Ackland has confirmed NYC debuts for two more players – hooker Jethro Friend and prop Atu Tupou, who are both included on the interchange bench. Friend, a Manurewa High School product and Manurewa Marlins junior, is the son of legendary 1982-1991 Kiwi halfback Clayton Friend. St Paul’s College-educated Tupou, a Mangere East Hawks junior, was included in the Auckland Vulcans’ squad for their New South Wales Cup encounter with Newtown last week.
Ackland has tweaked his starting line-up in two places. Ligi Sao, originally named to start in the second row, goes back to the front row with Toka Likiliki moving to the bench and Chris Ofanoa coming into the second row.
While Tuimavave will be absent, prolific try-scoring fullback Omar Slaimankhel (40 matches) is back after missing two matches with a knee injury. Also back from injury is winger Viliami Lolohea.
The Vodafone Junior Warriors have lost leading prop Donald Tony long-term with a knee injury and winger Ngataua Hukatai (concussion) plus newcomers centre Braxton Stanley and Albert Vete, who have been suspended on contrary conduct charges arising from a fracas in the clash against the Roosters. Stanley will miss two games after taking an early guilty plea on a grade three offence while Vete is out for a game after pleading guilty on a grade two charge. Siulongoua Fotofili was also charged for his involvement in the melee but is free to play after taking an early guilty plea on a grade one offence.
With Stanley out, Ackland has moved second rower Sione Feao to the centres while Hukatai’s absence has resulted in Peta Hiku, fullback for the last two matches and the players’ player of the day last week, going to the left wing.
This will be only the second time the Vodafone Junior Warriors have played at Canberra Stadium. They lost there 28-42 in 2009 when their line-up included Kevin Locke, Bill Tupou, Elijah Taylor (at standoff), Shaun Johnson, Ben Henry, Alehana Mara and Sebastine Ikahihifo, all in the Vodafone Warriors’ 2012 NRL squad.

Yeah some of their forwards to slow and lazy
Ofanoa, Likiliki and even havili to slow around the ruck on defense.

Atu Tupou stood out before doing his knee.
Also Ligi Sao cemented himself as one of the premier forwards in the nyc.

Slaimankhel was rushed back a bit too fast.
Should of left hiku back there for one more week at least.

Next week test out slaimankhel if not fit put hiku at the back.

Bring in Ngani Lumape, who starred for Pt Chev in his fox debut (from injury)
Like the topside - they need some real centres.

The righthandside defense was average.. reminded me of the topside

Here are the stats for the game, David Bhana led tackles again with 36, Ligi Sao had another big game with 192m. Try scorers John Palavi 8m, David Bhana 14m, Sio Siua Taukeiaho 35m, Sione Feao 40m, Siliva Havili 60m.Yeah disappointing 2nd half for the boys this week, Guted for the lose.

Any word on how Ngani went?

Apparently he went well.
but they rate him that highly they will draft him straight in as soon as he proves his fitness imo

Allow Taukieaho to go back to backrow.
And once stanley comes back probably have feao drop to the bench

Friend will hold his spot.. he should probably start then have havili come off the bench for impact.

Is donald tony injured?? because he is a honest footballer, will put his hands up on hittups and defense.

they need some more honest footballers like tony, friend and bhana..likiliki ran well at times needs to get back into line on defense.
Cant just fill the team up with athletes.

Palavi, Taukieaho and Ligi Sao are top shelf

I haven't got sky so haven't seen any of the 20s or Vulcans games... are any of these dudes up to 1st grade NOW?

Closest to first grade would be palavi
Then probably Ligi Sao and then Taukieaho

A fully fit omar would be a better winger than tupou

Bhana showed a nice step for his try as well, Friend looked a good prospect.
