Well I got the word tonight at training the jetz are forfeiting the 2006 season I was told they only have ten players on the books and no money to back the team
A sad blow for south Auckland league..

That is very sad news. After the loss of their coach things weren't looking too good. But I thought they might pull thru.
Surely the NZRL can help out in some way. It's actually quite sickening.

at grass roots level

we need to sus this franchise versus club B.S
or its gonna hurt us tenfolds

a proud community like that with no identity in our national comp

Fellas,

This is not confirmed yet. Dean Hunter was training with a young
squad last night so all may not be lost - but I do agree, it's
looking pretty shakey.

This where once again NZ shits in it's own nest!

We now have the Bartercard cup AND the Fox draining players not to mention Australian, English and French clubs.

We need one major comp not two!!

Is there a possibility that one of the big south Auckland clubs could take over the Jetz spot in the comp?
