Richard villisanti was released to the cronulla sharks today.Just saw it on the home base. Surely george tukara steps up to the plate now, who else??? Big help with the salary cap as well, releases funds for a new fullback IF we lose webb. Wade mccinnion would have to be 1st choice.

Looking back at Villa he had some very good years at the Warriors and was a great impact player off the bench.
Good luck to him at the Sharks, hopefully this does not come back at bite us (pun intended).

Yeah, he was a great player for us, particulary in 2003, but he hasn't been at his best lately and all he is doing is filling the salary cap. A good move by the Warriors management I say.

But that means that we only have George Wiki Price Evarn and Sam Rapira as props. Not a hell of alot depth with Pricey or Wiki goes down.

Jon, Awen could play prop if need be, also Michael Luck has played a fair bit of prop for the Cowboys.

If anything, I thought we were always somewhat lopsided up front after Price and Wiki's purchase, and short sighted in terms of our halves stocks once Stacey left, I suspect thats all come to fruition over the past 7 rounds really.

Farewell Mr Villasanti. Thanks for your contribution to the club, and for the good memories you've given us over the years. I hope it all works out for you in Sydney.

I forgot about Luck he goes hard enough to play prop on my team.
Iafeta I see what you mean about being lopsided in props, which just bought to mind how similar all our second rowers are.

Mark my words, he'll come back to hurt us and our players. Another dumb short sighted move by Warriors management.

I don't think it's quite that bad RS_Dragon. Admittedly I don't know the full story, but it seems like a very mutual decision to me - and there's no point in keeping someone here if neither party really wants to make things work. (Geez, I sound like a marriage counsellor!)

I really hope he does do well, when he's at his best form he's a great player to watch - sadly, we haven't seen the best of Villa for a good few years now.

If he does turn into a superstar with the Sharks, I won't be slinging arrows at anyone - good on him if he can make the most of his second chance.

I think its a good move for both parties, frees up our cap a bit seeing he wasn't being used anyway, and this mite be a good shot for him, a change of scenery mite bring some of those bone rattling hits back.

yer he'll find form and come back to haunt us, warriors have a good reputation of signing good players and ruining them

If he recaptures his form by the time we're due to face them we'll look right pratts alright...shame really but well and truely on the cards since Wiki and Price moved in

I like Villa..first Warriors kangaroo and pity his form didn't stay where it should've so good luck to him and the Sharkies another team I favor after the Warriors and (cough)Raiders(cough)

Villisanti offered something a little bit different to the norm - a rugged individual with extra pace.
He often put himself in good position to capitalise on grubber kicks or short passes from Stacey.
He'll probably fit in well with Kimmorley.

Good on him getting out of here it didn't look like he was going to get a look in this season. Good luck to him at the sharks

Ohh geeee..I was hoping he would return to his form and killer hits he was famously known for.

Best of luck Villa!

Best of luck Villa.

Will always remember the passion that you showed while at the Warriors. Your excitement walking down the tunnel in one match will remain in mind. Your big hits will be missed, your enthusiasm to chase grubbers in either our own in goal or the oppositions.

Good bye and good luck, you will hurt us next time we play you, but no regrets.
