The son of former Warrior legend Joe Vagana. Isaiah Vagana played his junior league for Mt Albert Lions.

In 2018, Vagana represented Auckland U18 team.

In 2019, Vagana played 18 games for the Warriors Jersey Flegg team mainly at second row. Vagana was selected for Counties Manukau Stingrays and New Zealand Junior Kiwis honours in 2019.

Didya know Richmond held the record for Kiwi reps for any club in NZ.? Just asking like.

I think you thought wrong ;) :D..I think Ponsonby were second to Richmond, and on that basis they will still be there🤣...I have just tried googling it but cannot find anything s you will have to take me at my word

If he’s half as good as the old man he’ll go alright.
Geez we could do with big Joe about now- what a player.
I remember him coming off the bench for the kiwis once and totally bitching the Aussie pack. He was at the peak of his pows then- probably the best prop in the world at the time.

Does this help?

I think I count 60 Richmond kiwis players, out of a total of 827 or so.

I cannot remember where I read it. It was way back last century. However I believe it to be true, as a totally impartial observer.

Now there was a prop.

Wasnt too many Kiwi's at that time that the Aussies (dont want to say were scared of) but could genuinely worry them, but with the power that big Joe had he was one of them.

One of my favourite players at the time really wish he had stayed in the NRL as he wouldve created a huge legacy for himself here (understandable he left the club when he did tho as it looked like we were about to go tits up and he did have a great career at Bradford).

One wonders if the way the game is now if there's even room for the Vagana's and Paleassina's of this world. I hope so cause they were a joy to watch.

Does anyone here know how old vagana is? Also his size? He looks similar to Taukeiaho st that younger age.

I hope maiu'u and vagana start week in week out up front, im really interested to see if one of them go top 30 this year.
