General Is this the twilight of democracy?

Kellie Jay Keene is a woman's advocate. She has the audacity to say that a man in a dress is not a woman and should not be able to go in female only spaces like changing rooms and toilets. As far as I can see she is not right wing or anything like that.

She first came to prominence when she put up a poster stating 'Woman=adult female human'. She was interviewed for anti Trans hate speech FFS. If I found a man in a dress where my daughters are dressing/undressing in a female only place he would not have to worry about botox or eye mascara for a while.

Trans activists recently had Lesbians banned from a gay pride event in Britain because they did not like penis's. I shit you not.

The Government always trying to control us, Good people like yourself can see where all this is going!

Wonder if we'll hear the free speech advocates argue against the ban
I asked gpt chat (that new bot toy). Hes independent and seems pretty balanced and insightful:

Different cultures have their own unique values, beliefs, and practices, and what may be considered offensive or inappropriate in one culture may be completely acceptable in another. Here are a few examples:

  1. Hand gestures: In many Western cultures, making the "OK" sign by forming a circle with your thumb and index finger is seen as a sign of approval or agreement. However, in some other cultures, such as Brazil and Turkey, it is considered an offensive gesture with vulgar connotations.
  2. Personal space: In some cultures, such as Japan, it is considered impolite to stand too close to someone or to touch them during conversation. However, in other cultures, such as Latin American countries, people tend to stand closer together and touch each other more often during conversation.
  3. Food preferences: In some cultures, eating pork or beef is considered a common practice and even a delicacy, while in others, such as some Muslim and Jewish communities, it is considered taboo and offensive.
  4. Clothing: In some cultures, wearing revealing clothing is seen as provocative and inappropriate, while in others, it is completely acceptable and even encouraged.
  5. Eye contact: In some cultures, direct eye contact is a sign of respect and attentiveness, while in others, it can be seen as rude or aggressive.
It's important to remember that cultural differences are a natural part of our diverse world and that it's essential to approach other cultures with respect and an open mind.

Nazis supported this woman’s meetings so let’s use it as a reason to cancel her!

By the same logic:

The Mongrel mob with their Nazi insignia support labour so let’s use this as a reason to cancel Labour???

This highlights the big problem with allowing cancel culture to take over and trying to pick winners with hate speech laws.

If the Wellington mayor cancels their booking of halls (as she has indicated) then she needs to do the same to Labour politicians 🤣
A great way of making new laws to control us, Get cops to dress up like Nazis and make a scene! Just saying!

I bet that’s what happened.🤔
Anything is possible in this world!
Dog Poop Mailbox

I bet that’s what happened.🤔
Protestors made up bomb threats at venues to stop controversial speakers getting a platform and to get venues to cancel bookings.

When doing wrongs is seen as ok to get your own way then you really can’t trust either side.

Ironic the threat of violence is used as a tool to stop people you worry might incite violence!

True, I should have said would most find viewing an 80 year old woman making a porno acceptable.
Now that is interesting. I wouldn't deny an 80 year old women that right, it is her choice.
Not my cup of tea, but that is not to say that when I'm 80 or more, it might be. Here's the sad thing. Once I thought women in their 30's were old and unattractive, then later on it was 40's, then 50's then 60's. Now I find then all attractive, you know how this could end for me?

Many wouldn’t deem it as acceptable though, it is her choice just as following nazi idealisms is those people’s choice. It’s just most of society doesn’t share those views, some do. I hear what you’re saying though that our views change with age or other experiences in our lives.

She travels round and in public spaces invites women to have their say, the protests are by Trans activists and their supporters All she is advocating is that women's spaces should be for biological women. She is against terminology like 'chest feeder' for breast feeding and breeding person for pregnant woman.. I agree with her, just because you say or identify as a woman does not make you one.
What exactly are transphobes scared of? What are you scared of?
Seems to me anti-trans activists simply hate trans people for existing. It's certainly not a feminism angle either, because feminism is about equal rights, not just more rights for women.
Where are all the stories about trans people invading women's spaces? Like the pedo angle for the story time 'outrage' it feels very made up to suit the agenda.

What is the issue with a trans women using a women only space, If they have committed to a transition from man to woman? It feels like such a juvenile outrage.

They only thing that needs sorting is the sports issue - which they could probably do based on hormone testing, or have two trans categories (Trans-woman and Trans-male). Certainly have that discussion.

The problem is the Trans viewpoint is that Trans 'women' effectively men in a dress should be able to use women only spaces before transition. Totally agree with them using the facilities after they have transitioned, that is not the argument. For instance what would your reaction be if close female relatives of yours were in a female changing room and a man went in there. That is the argument.

They aren't effectively men in a dress though, This isn't fancy dress for a laugh. What percentage of trans-women are men faking it, which seems to be what you are worried about.
I wouldn't have any issue with a trans-women using any facilities my daughters might use. If they were causing problems, just like if anyone else was causing problems within said facilities I would hope they would be dealt with appropriately.

A lot of minority groups can get very self centered, defensive, outspoken and sometimes unreasonable standing up for their rights. Understandable given the challenges they face but win/ win situations are always better than win/lose.

Sometimes they ignore that their rights affect everyone else’s and because they are marginalised they feel they are entitled to have extra rights over others. Again win/win is the way forward rather than entitlement.

Just a single issue like the trans in sports can really turn people against the whole idea and hurt the whole cause. Honestly any male that wants to be the best female is simply self centred and selfish.

Same with co-governance, feminism, poverty gaps, vegans, cyclists, etc - when a group feel their rights are more important than everyone else’s, it just pisses people off and hurts the entire cause.

Win/win is always the best way forward. And no I don’t hate any group. I am very progressive and have a solid live and let live attitude to life. That Xmas function at Caluzzi’s is legendary!

If you watch this woman's video threatening the PM if her right to enter is revoked and think she's just doing this for Woman you have rocks your head.

I think her event will be cancelled because of the risk involved in it going ahead.
The event is in Albert Park with the event permit holders needing to ensure the H&S plan is adhered to.
Counter protestors will out number attendee's easily.
