Some of our players need a long rest.

Others need to start pre-season training now as they were obviously not fit this year.

If anyone has any injury updates over the off-season post them in here. I'll be interested to see whether Sam Rapira can become a fully functional human being again after a whole season off (well, almost a whole season). Oh and PB I've stickied it so it doesn't disappear again :)

Lets all hope for no injuries tonight in the test. Bad injuries now mean missing to much of the fitness stuff and maybe the start of next season. We don't need that.

Haha too true. Hope Slammin Sammy carves up in 2013

As for the Rapira brother, Steve, Vulcans i think, never set the world on fire for me.
I actually liked his form when he was at the Cowboys but since signing here he has either been injured or kept out of the first grade team by better players. He's got nothing on the second rowers at the Cowboys now in Tariq Sims, Taumalolo, Scott Bolton or corey Paterson but he's got some experiance in the NRL and is a handy player to have in the Vulcans. May get some more game time with Micheal Luck gone?

I like the look of Steve when he came, but IMO it's been a bad career move, injuries and Vulcans hasn't helped, hoping for big things from him and Sam next season.

Sorry im just not a fan, everyone talked about the big hits and i think all year i saw about 2, missed more tackles than he made

i think with the 2nd rowers / locks we have we shouldnt see him all year

would rather give ikahihifo and the likes a run.

Your right on the one Ikahihifo had more of an impact on the game then Steve did in any game he has played for us.

Hard. I like the energy Steve brings, and he has a powerful front-on tackle. But he seems prone to jersey grabbing and appears to have poor lateral movement, meaning gaps can often appear around him.

I love the idea of Steve and Sam playing together, but it seems to be against the will of fate.

I am curious to see what Elliot has planned for Steve Rapira and the Lousi brothers as far as positions go.

Wandering off the injury track slightly, so fingers crossed our new staff can get our injury prone players hardened for a healthier season. Last year was abysmal.
