The guy is an awesome player but I find him lazy after tackles he makes, hes easy to go down after being tackled and hes always injured during the game? If hes not 100% fit then imagine the damage he will do when he is. As our form centre alot of responsibility will fall on his shoulders

hes just built like a rock. hes fit, not fat. he gets injured (generally his shoulder) because the opposition grab his ball carrying arm and chicken wing him attempting to stop him while he drives forward. he lays in the tackle too long on defence, he needs to learn that when the ref says get the fuck off, you get the fuck off.

He is definitely fit, but his legs don't seem to be up to the task of carrying him in traffic. Perhaps he needs to spend some time with steve Price to find out how to keep the momentum going forward without the leg drive. I noticed tonight that the players are hitting hard on the back of the calfs. Is this a known weakness in his legs, or was I just imagining it?

I saw a state saying he is 6ft. I was surprised at that, and doubt its authenticity. It also said he was 105kg. If he is 6ft then 105 seems light for his build. Anyone know off hand what height and weight he actually is?

That weight doesn't seem that huge for a guy with his build. Maybe there is a bit of fat in there somewhere.

not sure what the point in this thread is? how was his 'poor fitness' even highlighted in this game? he did a lot of hard work and would've been justified in being tired in the later stages,.. but did not see how it affected the result.. imo he worked very hard, taking over Manu's role. he gets a positive appraisal from me

He'd probably go a lot better if he wasn't used like a battering ram so much.

I'm not hating on Mannering for this - it all comes down purely to preparation and coaching - a player will only ever do onfield what he habitually does in training. Konnie should be running off Manneing and vice versa. The pair of them should be able to make a devastating combination with Maloney. I know this isn't the 'hating on Bluey' thread, but...

Half control of the game comes down to preparation and coaching.
Player combinations come down to preparation and coaching.
Player awareness on defence comes down to preparation and coaching.
Last tackle options come down to preparation and coaching.
"This is what you do when... comes down to preparation and coaching.

i'm happy with konrad. he does bloody well especailly for a guy in his 2nd year of league. awesome enthusiasm, learning and improving game to game. i wish some of our other players did the same.

I'd say we've gone backwards - the structure of Cleary is a thing of the past, and that's what would have been needed with such an inexperienced backline.

honestly?

We're just not very good.

We got lucky last year when getting to the final on a freak Inu try. Sure we followed that up with an excellent performance against Melbourne, but if we're honest we'll admit we were fortunate.

This year, from the first game we've just been a poor side.

Still have 2nd rowers in the centres, too many similar players (in stature as well as play), and our defence is pathetic.

The results are exactly what we deserve - as much as I live the Warriors I'd even go as far to say we've over achieved given our weaknesses and lack of depth.

^^^ Seriously, I think we do have the talent to win the comp if they're run right. Either that, or we're even worse than you say, and completely ignoring the midweek preparation.
