He aint fast. Over 20 metres, perhaps, but there and beyond, theres always someone out there who mows him down. Like second-rowers.

His thigh was heavily strapped, but that play, like the grand final was the turning point for mine.

If the bloke's not fit, don't play him. Simple.

When you're close to the edge and your chaser is flying at you at an angle where else can you go? Duck infield? Perhaps, only problem is there were three other Raiders there. Or didn't anyone see that? My question is where were the support players?!
Surely even they could see he was on his own some one else should have followed and at least provided some sort of a second man play.

The way he got slower and slower as he ran out of energy.. I dont think I've ever seen someone run that slow on a rugby league field!

Skinny, he had 40 metres to go, the Canberra Raiders player came from 15 in from touch on the other side.

Todd got 39 metres down field while the Raiders player covered some 55 or so metres.

Call a spade a spade, thats a problem. He's paid to finish plays, that was goodnight nurse for any other winger in the comp.

So he didn't pull it off, you trying to say if you were in that position you'd pulli t off? Yeah..Right.

Skinny, don't try and patronise people.

No one has suggested that. But, I'm not paid a contract do that. I perform the tasks required in my job and earn my living.

Todd Byrne is paid to finish off try scoring movements. There was nothing hard about finishing that one off. It was almost impossible not to score.

I know you have a fascination for Todd Byrne - but please, open both eyes. Its not all green on the other side as far as his form goes.

I feel sorry for the lad, talk about deja vu, a chance to put it beyond doubte just like the 2003 grand final, thats gotta hurt.

he seems to have an injury that is seems certain. his pace is fine at full fitness though. I think it was in a game against souths last year where he came from nowhere and pulled off a try saving tackle so his speed his fine at fulll fitness.

IMO what the problem was that he didnt keep running to the corner, away from the chaser. He just ran a straight line.

Would you rather the warriors have Skinny in the team, or have a better shot at winning. He doesn't seem to be firing at the moment, and the warrirors are not a good enough team to be carrying a player at the moment wouldn't you think?

I have to admit when I saw him on the field before the game his leg was really heavily strapped. Before that play he already looked really, really tired. I'm not sure, but did he do a big run before that?

Patrick hurt his shoulder right in front of me as well, it took the Warriors about 2-3 minutes to get him off. I'm surprised the Raiders didn't attack his side. Is he ok?

I think the problem wasnt his pace, but him getting fatigued. And also not using a fend really and use momentum to carry the ball over the line.

You have to question the fitness of our players as the brain explosions, lack of pace and stupidity is just unbelievable. I dont think these guys are fit at all.

Fitness is a good point, from personall experience ( i lost my teams semi final whilst unfit on a brain explosion) fitness makes a massive difference., to the desicion making process.

vuna has got to start now ........end of story for toddy im afraid ...
vuna would have scored under the posts , with his extra pace...
im suprised ah van got a run before vuna who has played first grade before anyways ...

martin will be on one wing next week , with jerry ropati coming back , into the centres , vuna on one wing and martin to replace toddy ...in my opinion on the other

He was trying to fool him with a change of pace but just forgot to accelerate. :)

The problem i have is after he was tackled.

He didn't try and force a quick play the ball, which could have had a Raider in the sin-bin, and then the lack of speed in getting the ball to the right - eg Webb running in a full circle.

Getting run down should have only slowed down our scoring a try at that stage.

There was no one to play the ball to though was there?

I think part of it was that he straightened his line and started a fraction towards the goal. If he aims for the corner post that's an extra 2-3 steps that Chalk needs to chase. If he wasn't already over the line by the time CHalk had reached him momentum would've gotten him there for sure.

You're probably right.

My point about the set following the break being abysmal stands. Webb ran in a full circle while Raiders players were streaming back on the right.
