Hindmarsh may miss Warriors clash
Parramatta could be without Nathan Hindmarsh for Saturday's clash with the New Zealand Warriors after he was charged by the NRL judiciary.
Hindmarsh has been charged with a grade one dangerous throw following an incident late in Saturday night's impressive 46-12 win over Newcastle at Parramatta Stadium.
If he enters an early guilty plea Hindmarsh will escape with 93 carryover points towards his future record, freeing him up to face the Warriors, but if he chooses to fight the charge and loses he will be suspended for one game, and carry 25 points over.
The only other player charged following Round 18 was South Sydney's Scott Geddes, who will miss this weekend's Telstra Stadium battle with Manly unless he successfully overturns a grade two careless high tackle charge.
With a similar offence within the previous two years adding points to the loading, Geddes will receive a one-game ban and 40 carryover points if he enters an early guilty plea, but if he contests the charge and is found guilty, he will cop a match and 87 points.
Smith out
Parramatta Eels youngster Tim Smith's 2006 season is over after he broke his collarbone in Saturday night's 46-12 win over Newcastle.
The 21-year-old playmaker will undergo surgery later in the week but is not expected to return to rugby league until 2007.
