Fa'afili praised by coach Cullen

by Dave Woods

Warrington boss Paul Cullen believes his side can only get better - if his players follow the example of star winger Henry Fa'afili.

The Kiwi flyer has scored 15 tries already this season, including a hat-trick in the high-octane victory over Leeds. But it's also his work off the field that has made him a coach's favourite.

"Henry has taken our player of the month award for all the early months of the season so far," said Cullen.

"That's because of his efforts in the gym, on the training field, on the park and off the park.

"You have to take an holistic approach to your work and Henry is the ultimate professional.

"When you play at the top end of this competition you have to make sure everything is in order and nothing can catch you out."

Back-to-back wins against Bradford and Leeds have inflated optimism amongst Warrington fans and the side are currently fourth in the Super League table.

But Cullen believes things can get even better.

"The problem at this club used to be winning games. We're a side that hide in the anonymity of the bottom four, but we've corrected that," he said.

"I think we are up there punching with the big boys and there is more to come in the way we prepare and the way we train.

"It can get better, but you have to be on your toes because any side can pop up and surprise you at any time."

Henry was always one of my fav Warriors, espcially with his post-try celebrations. When he left the Warriors in 2004 I was gutted, but if he keeps up his blistering form then expect him to make the Kiwis at the end of the year.

Awesome. Sounds like the ESL has given him a new lease on life. He became (or was used as - same end result) a one trick jump-and-catch pony here. Hope the roll continues for him.

I'm so pleased Henry is going well. He was always a stand out favourite
both on and off the field.

He got out at the right time as well.

Cheers
