Well not long to go now, in just over a weeks time the grading rounds in Auckland kicks off….. Man I can’t wait
So I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of my self and the Manurewa marlins to wish all teams’ good luck for there 2006 campaign, this year shaping to be a cracker of a year for us footy heads, the revamped bartercard, the ARL comps all looking like there going to one of toughest comps in a long time, and with league gaining momentum in the south island and central north island can only be fantastic for the game, and as always the Wellington and Canterbury comps will provide us great entertainment over the coming months, not to mention the MIGHTY WARRIORS, and what about the Kiwis is this the season we finally get the respect and results we have been waiting for, for so long , under bluey I reckon there’s a huge chance of that happening what a class coach we have in bluey and best of all he’s 100% kiwi, no ditch jumping here thank you very much!!.
Also a huge thumbs up to all of our refs and touches, the unsung heroes of the game; it takes a special kind of person to get out there in middle and ref knowing at the end of the game you’re only going to get a bit of stick in one way or another, on ya mates!
In my opinion 2006 will be the year of rugby league, but it will take your support to get there, remember life is what we make it, so make it a year to remember, get down and support your local team, jump on a committee, pick up whistle and give coaching a go, trust me its really fun and rewarding,
So come on team give it heaps this year
Good luck, best wishes and hopefully we will see each other on the road some time, or maybe under the posts...
