I think the advetising leading up to the test has been pretty cabbage. If the nzrl wants to get the profile of the game up then they arent going about it very well. They should have capatalised from last years success with dvds and stuff not just a new book. They should be pushing for heaps of ads on all channels not just sky. Maybe break out that old 80's track "give em a taste of kiwi" . Infact that should be blasting out of the speakers come tri-nations time, if that song doesn't spark pride in the black in white what will?.

Haha did you watch 'Hyundai Sports tonight' last night too? Was good seeing the little piece that they did on the old ad. Not that I was out of nappies when it came out. They definitely should start playing that again.

Agreed...I remember the tune when I was a lil girl, just couldn't remember the clip. Should definitely be blasting over the air waves. How cool would it be if the chant was heard during the game.

Well the book was put out by the Mad Butcher, so no kudos to the NZRL for that one....but why should we be surprised that the NZRL are short on vision & nous. They've been a farce for decades & nothing's changed.

Give Em A Taste has been on Radio Sport this week....ring them up and they'll probably play the clip of it. The best bit is the guy absolutely shredding his vocal cords at the end.

I brought the book today. Not a bad read and some awesome pictures. Some of the players just about brought tears to the eyes like the test did. The boss got pissed off when he caught me reading it all day

Haha I just bought it today too and just finished reading it. man it sounds like they had an absolute blast. And yep reading some of the things that the players said, certainly did get a little misty eyed. loved that theme too of "Bully the Bully"
